Thendral
Thendral (Tamil: தென்றல்) is a Tamil drama serial directed by S. Kumaran. It premiered on 7 December 2009 and is being aired on Sun TV. Thendral stars Shruthi Raj, Deepak Dinkar and Hemalatha in the lead roles and revolves around a girl's struggle in a middle-class family, focusing on the importance of women's' education. The Indian newspaper Business Standard describes it as the "first youthful prime time daily soap in Tamil". The serial and had the highest Television Rating Point for Tamil serials and it was remade in Telugu as Sravani Subramanyam and in other languages.Thendral has been highly acclaimed and has won many awards.

Thendral is a 2004 Indian Tamil drama film directed by Thangar Bachan. The film features Parthiban and Radha in lead roles with Rajashree in a pivotal role. The film, produced by Venu Ravichandran, had musical score by Vidyasagar and was released on 6 February 2004.

The film won positive reviews, with a critic noting "the movie moves on without the usual cinematic trends at the start but to make the movie interesting, at the end, the director makes use of those trends. Yet, Thendral has jointly touched the audience with its absorbing story."
