Eddie Money (born Edward Joseph Mahoney; March 21, 1949) is an American rock guitarist, saxophonist and singer-songwriter, who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums. Rock impresario Bill Graham said of Money, "Eddie Money has it all.... Not only can he sing, write, and play, but he is a natural performer."

Biography

Eddie Money was born Edward Mahoney into a large Irish Catholic family in Brooklyn and raised in Plainedge on Long Island. His father, grandfather, and brother were all New York City Police Department (NYPD) policemen, and Eddie was an NYPD trainee. As his interest in music intensified, he eventually ended his law-enforcement career in favor of becoming a full-time musician. He moved to Berkeley, California, and became a regular at area clubs, where he secured a recording contract with Columbia Records. Later in the 1970s, he charted with singles such as "Baby Hold On" and "Two Tickets to Paradise". Money continued his successes and took advantage of the MTV music video scene in the early 1980s with his humorous narrative videos for "Shakin'" and "Think I'm in Love," but his career began to fail him after several unsuccessful releases in the mid-1980s, accompanied by his struggles with drug addiction.

Then and Now (also Then and Now Shop) is a London-based Internet retailer that sells past season designer clothes and accessories at substantial discounts, as well as current-season items from designer names.

History

Then and Now was established in Farringdon in December 2011 by Lian Michelson, a former Morgan Stanley trader. It works direct with suppliers to offer sales direct from the site and also includes links to affiliates, for which it receives a commission on subsequent purchases. The original inspiration for the site came about when Michelson noticed an absence of discounted menswear online, although the site was established to offer both men's and women's clothing and accessories.

Range

The luxury goods retailer gets its name from selling past seasons' clothes at discounts of up to 75 per cent, as well as current designer collections. These include established brands such as Yves Saint Laurent and newer names such as Rick Owens. The range includes website exclusives, such as beauty goods from Essie and fashion from Eugene Lin. The site works in partnership with other retailers to supply ranges for women, men, children and home.

And Now!

And Now! is the third studio album by the Southern soul band Booker T. & the M.G.'s, released in November 1966. It is notable as the first M.G.'s album featuring bassist Duck Dunn on every track. “My Sweet Potato” was the only track released as a single, with “Booker Loo” (not included on the album) as its B-side. “Summertime” was released in 1967 as the B-side to the song “Hip Hug-Her”.
