The Way Out (1955 film)

Dial 999 is a 1955 drama film directed and written by Montgomery Tully based on the novel of the same name by Bruce Graeme. Produced by the British company, Todon Productions, it was shot at the Merton Park Studios in London. RKO Radio Pictures purchased the rights to distribute it in the United States, where it was released in a cut form as The Way Out on 11 April 1956. The film stars Gene Nelson as Greg Carradine, Mona Freeman as Terry Moffat Carradine, and John Bentley as Detective Sergeant Seagrave.

Cesta ven (English: The Way Out; French: Je m’en sortirai) is a 2014 Czech-French social drama film directed by Czech director Petr Václav. It premiered at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. The film won seven Czech Lion awards, including selected Best Czech Film of 2014 and Best Director. According to Variety magazine, The Way Out is a story of a "young gypsy woman trying to lead a “normal” life [...] in a constant battle against prejudice and her own community’s entrenched behavior."

Way Out (note that the on-screen title begins with an apostrophe) is a 1961 fantasy and science fiction television anthology series hosted by writer Roald Dahl. The macabre, black-and-white, 25-minute shows were introduced by Dahl, his face projected in a disconcerting hall of mirrors effect, dryly delivering a brief introductory monologue, expounding on such unusual subjects as undertakers or frogs or murdering a romantic rival with ground tiger's whiskers.

The taped series began because CBS needed a replacement for a Jackie Gleason talk show that network executives were about to cancel, and producer David Susskind contacted Dahl to help mount a show quickly. The series was paired by the network with the similar The Twilight Zone for Friday evening broadcasts, running from March through July 1961 at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time. The show's primary sponsor was Liggett & Myers (L&M cigarettes). Writers included Philip H. Reisman, Jr. and Sumner Locke Elliott.

The premiere episode, "William and Mary", adapted from a Roald Dahl short story, told of a wife getting revenge on her husband.

It was written by the song's producer Harmony Samuels, alongside Amber Streeter, Al Sherrod Lambert, Jordin Sparks, Priscilla Ahn, Brenda Russell, and Mac Miller, who is featured in the song. "The Way" was released on March 25, 2013 by Republic Records as the lead single from Yours Truly. The song's backing track is based on the piano melody from Russell's 1979 song "A Little Bit of Love", and the song has melodic and lyrical similarities to Big Pun's 1998 song "Still Not a Player", which also samples "A Little Bit of Love".

The song received acclaim from critics, with some comparing Grande's vocals to those of Mariah Carey.
