The Office

The Office is a popular mockumentary sitcom that was first made in the United Kingdom and has now been remade in many other countries, with overall viewership in the hundreds of millions worldwide.

The Office original UK version was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. It starred Gervais as the boss and main character. First broadcast on BBC Two on 9 July 2001, the show ran for 14 episodes – two series of six episodes and a two-part Christmas special. The longest running version is the U.S. version, which ran for 9 seasons from 2005 to 2013. The German version has seen 46 episodes over five seasons and a movie aired 2014 in German cinemas.

Beautiful Bastard

Beautiful Bastard is an erotic romance novel by Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings under the singular pen name of Christina Lauren. The book was originally published online as a Twilight fan fiction entitled The Office, with Simon & Schuster purchasing the publishing rights to the series.

The book was followed by three sequels (Beautiful Stranger, Beautiful Player, and Beautiful Secret), as well as three novellas (Beautiful Bitch, Beautiful Bombshell, and Beautiful Beginning).

Plot

The Office (film)

The Office (Polish: Urząd) is a 1966 short film by Polish director Krzysztof Kieślowski, produced while he was a student at the Łódź Film School. The film is included as an extra on the Region 1 and 2 releases of Kieslowski's feature film No End.

The film's runtime of 5 minutes consists entirely of interactions at a government office service window, with a clerk handling various requests by people seeking state aid. The film portrays the intense bureaucracy that existed in Polish government services at the time, with the people being turned away for various procedural violations. One request is denied because the applicant brought too many identifying documents, they were told that they needed an official nullification of one of the redundant papers. Another man encounters difficulty because a document was stamped with a square, rather than a round seal.
