Christopher Ward "Chris" Norman (born 25 October 1950) is an English soft rock singer. Norman was the lead singer of Smokie, an English soft rock band from Bradford, which found success in Europe in the 1970s.
With the advent of rock and roll, Norman acquired his first guitar at the age of seven. His early musical influences were Elvis Presley, Little Richard and Lonnie Donegan.
In these early years, Norman's parents moved around the country a lot which resulted in him going to nine different schools, and living in various locations around England, such as, Redcar, Luton, Kimpton and Nottingham. By 1962 however, the family had moved back to Norman's mother's home city of Bradford. Approaching his twelfth birthday, Norman started at St. Bede's Grammar School where he was to meet Alan Silson and Terry Uttley, future members of Smokie.
As teenagers, influenced by the new era of groups such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones and then folk singer, Bob Dylan, Norman and Silson began meeting up and spent nearly all their spare time learning new songs on their guitars. They managed to persuade Uttley to join them and, along with a drummer friend called Ron Kelly, they formed their first band. The Yen, Essence, and Long Side Down were just some of a variety of names they called themselves before settling on "The Elizabethans". When Ron Kelly left the group in 1973, an old friend called Pete Spencer was asked to take over on the drums, and the group, which was to become Smokie, was complete.

The Wounded is a Dutch wave-rock band, hailing from the province of Drenthe, in the north of the Netherlands. They play intense and melancholy rock.
In 2000, The Wounded released their debut, called, The Art of Grief. It was followed, in March 2002, by their second album titled, Monument. Shortly after the release of this album, The Wounded changed their line-up. The only two original members, bass player Andy Haandrikman and singer-guitarist Marco van der Velde, searched for new musicians. After auditioning several musicians, they found a new drummer, lead-guitar player and synth-player : Alwin Schnoing, Sander Wessels and Eduard Dresscher. The Monument album was promoted with a high number of performances with which the band played in most parts of the Netherlands. They also played very successful gigs in other countries such as Belgium and Germany. In the beginning of 2003, The Wounded started to work on their new album Atlantic. After working hard for almost a year, The Wounded released their third album early 2004 on Coldblood Industries' sub-label, Ebony Tears.
"The Wounded" is the 86th episode of the syndicated American science fiction television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, the 12th episode of the fourth season.
Picard is shocked when a highly respected starship captain apparently turns renegade and begins destroying Cardassian vessels. Captain Maxwell claims that the Cardassians, who recently signed a treaty with the Federation, are secretly rearming for war. Unfortunately, he has no proof. Picard demands that Maxwell- Transporter Chief O'Brien's former commanding officer- surrender his ship, but Maxwell refuses. Reluctant to fire on a fellow officer, Picard asks O'Brien to convince his old comrade to surrender peacefully.
While patrolling near Cardassian space, the starship Enterprise is suddenly attacked by a Cardassian vessel. Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) is able to convince its commander, Gul Macet (Marc Alaimo), to stand down, and learns that Macet's attack was in retaliation for a Federation ship attacking a Cardassian science station two days prior. Picard confirms this with Starfleet, and is told that the starship Phoenix, commanded by Captain Benjamin Maxwell (Bob Gunton), was responsible for the prior attack and orders the Enterprise to locate the vessel. Picard offers Gul Macet and two of his officers to come aboard as observers to maintain the fragile peace between the Federation and Cardassia. As the Enterprise looks for signs of the Phoenix, Picard discovers that transporter chief Miles O'Brien (Colm Meaney) was a former crewmember under Maxwell on the Rutledge during the Cardassian war, and offers him to join in a briefing for Gul Macet. There, O'Brien reveals he still harbors some resentment for the Cardassians, revealing that Maxwell's family was killed by Cardassians. Gul Macet infers that Maxwell must be out for revenge, but O'Brien denies this.

It's just another day
and just cos you've gone away
it doesn't mean I am gonna miss you
there's so many things to do
so why should I think of you
now don't you go thinking I'll be lonely
And don't say I'm going out my mind
'cos that's not funny
I know I'll get used to it in time
so I won't worry now
It's not that I miss you
it's not that I need you
it's just that I cry a lot more now
I've moved to a place that's new
it seemed the right thing to do
'cos there's nothing left here to remind me
surrounded by all my freinds
like a party that never ends
oh please don't you bother tryin' to find me
Ignoring the writing on the wall
I don't regret it
it tell you there's nothing wrong at all
so just forget it now
It's not that I miss you
it's not that I need you
