The Replacements (band)
The Replacements were an American rock band formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1979, and are considered pioneers of alternative rock. The band was composed of the guitarist and vocalist Paul Westerberg, guitarist Bob Stinson, bass guitarist Tommy Stinson and drummer Chris Mars for most of its career. Following several acclaimed albums, including Let It Be and Tim, Bob Stinson left the band in 1986, and Slim Dunlap joined as lead guitarist. Steve Foley replaced Mars in 1990. Towards the end of the band's career, Westerberg exerted more control over the creative output. The group disbanded in 1991, with the members ultimately pursuing various projects. A reunion was announced on October 3, 2012. The Replacements never had significant commercial success, except for "I'll Be You", which hit No. 1 on the Alt Rock Billboard listing, but they influenced numerous alternative rock acts.
The Replacements' music was influenced by rock artists such as the Rolling Stones, Faces, Big Star, Slade, Badfinger, Lou Reed and the Beatles as well as punk rock bands such as the Ramones, Johnny Thunders, Dead Boys and the Clash. Unlike many of their underground contemporaries, the Replacements played "heart-on-the-sleeve" rock songs that combined Westerberg's "raw-throated adolescent howl" with self-deprecating lyrics. The Replacements were a notoriously wayward live act, often performing under the influence of alcohol and playing (fragments of) covers instead of their own material.

The Replacements is an American action-fantasy-comedy animated television series for Disney Channel that ran originally from July 28, 2006 to March 30, 2009. Although the series originally aired episodes on Saturdays at 8:00pm EST, it was moved to Mondays at 5:00pm EST. The show aired for the last time on August 27, 2011 after the ABC Kids block being canceled.
It is noted for its roster of celebrity guest stars, including High School Musical star Zac Efron, Cory in the House star Jason Dolley, Harry Potter star Bonnie Wright, Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus and Sonny With a Chance star Doug Brochu, as well as Ed Begley, Jr., Josh Duhamel, Gilbert Gottfried, Tim Gunn, and Carson Palmer (playing themselves).
Plot
The opening sequence explains that siblings Todd and Riley lived what seem to be their entire lives in an orphanage, with no explanation of what happened to their birth parents. While cleaning the floors, they stumbled across a Fleemco comic book. They mail-ordered a Fleemco phone (which allows them to replace any person or animal they desire) and in the process they got new parents: a female British secret agent named Agent K and a professional daredevil named Dick Daring. Whenever Todd and Riley want to replace someone that was very bad, they call Conrad Fleem on the Fleemco phone via a large button. Fleemco immediately replaces the person with someone to the liking of Todd and Riley. The series follows their chaotic misadventures as they use Fleemco to attempt to better their lives in nearly every problematic situation they encounter.

"The Replacements" is the third episode of the third season of the anthology television series American Horror Story, which premiered on October 23, 2013, on the cable network FX. This episode focuses on Fiona (Jessica Lange) taking on Madison as a protégé (Emma Roberts) and Zoe (Taissa Farmiga) tries to give Kyle (Evan Peters) his life back. Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe and Patti LuPone guest star as Marie Laveau, Queenie and Joan Ramsey. This episode is rated TV-MA (LSV).
Plot
1971
At Miss Robichaux's Academy, a young Fiona (Riley Voelkel) is approached by Anna-Leigh Leighton (Christine Ebersole), headmistress and reigning Supreme. Fiona begins questioning Anna-Leigh as to when she knew she was destined to take the throne. After she explains to her that in order to become the Supreme, a witch must master and be able to perform the "Seven Wonders", Fiona responds that she is ready and wants to show off her skills to the Council of Witchcraft. Fiona points out that according to witch mythology, as the new Supreme begins to flourish, the old one begins to fade, noting Anna-Lee's numerous recent medical disabilities. When Anna-Leigh dismisses her once more and swears that she will never take the throne of Supreme, Fiona cuts her throat, killing her.
