The Obsessed is a doom metal band from Maryland led by Scott "Wino" Weinrich, who also fronted Saint Vitus, Spirit Caravan, Place of Skulls, The Hidden Hand and W.I.N.O.. Formed in 1976, they first split up in 1986 when Wino joined Saint Vitus, but reformed four years later. After releasing three albums (including the one that was originally recorded in 1985), The Obsessed broke up for a second time in 1995. However, they announced another reunion in September 2011.
The band formed originally under the name Warhorse in 1976 in Potomac, Maryland, led by Wino. In the late 1970s they became known as The Obsessed. Later on the group moved into a band house in Rockville, Maryland where some of their most creative and hardest music was written. Before this move, however, original guitar player John Reese departed from the band. The band became a trio and remained that way until the early eighties (i.e., 1982) when Vance Bockis and later Norman Lawson joined the band. During this time they released the Sodden Jackal EP (Spring 1983) and had one track ("Concrete Cancer") featured on Metal Blade's Metal Massacre VI. The Obsessed also managed to record their debut album in 1985 for Metal Blade, but it never officially surfaced.
So Evil My Love is a 1948 British and American Gothic psychological thriller film, directed by Lewis Allen and starring Ray Milland, Ann Todd and Geraldine Fitzgerald.
The film is a period drama set in the Victorian era, and shot in film noir style in the late-1940s subgenre often referred to as "Gaslight noir". It is based on the popular novel by Marjorie Bowen (published under the pseudonym Joseph Shearing) and was filmed at Denham Studios and on location in London. Elements of the plot are based on the mysterious death of barrister Charles Bravo in 1876. The conclusion may also be based on the death (in New York City, in 1905) of Cesar Young by Nan Patterson.
On board a ship returning to England from the West Indies, missionary's widow Olivia Harwood (Todd) is prevailed on to help nurse malarial patients on the lower decks. There she meets the suavely handsome Mark Bellis (Milland), who has been taken ill. Despite Mark's vagueness about his life and past, the couple strike up a friendship. Fully recovered by the time the ship docks, Mark persuades Olivia to allow him to take up residence in the lodging house she has inherited from her late husband. He proceeds to work a smooth line of seduction on her, while still finding time to also use his charms on the more worldly and vulgar Kitty (Moira Lister).
The Obsessed is the first album by The Obsessed, released in 1990 by Hellhound Records. All the songs were recorded in 1985 for an intended album for Metal Blade Records, which had never been released. The release of this album prompted singer Scott "Wino" Weinrich to leave Saint Vitus and reform The Obsessed with a new rhythm section. This album was re-released by Tolotta Records in 2000 with 10 live bonus tracks recorded at Glenmont Rec. Center in Wheaton, Maryland on February 28, 1984.
All songs written by Scott Weinrich, except where noted.

No I don't give a shit I'm just sick and fucking fed up
Always falling on my face trying hard to keep my head up
Cause this life has got me running, repetitions got me pinned
I've gotta break this cycle. Where the fuck do I begin?
Chorus:
Oh no... what has gotten into me
Oh yeah... could it be the monotony
Of life... and all of the anxiety?
Alright... I don't ever wanna be
Dead to the world but sometimes I feel so lost and alone
Its so hard to let go. What can I say "Well I'm okay!"
I'm not so... Sometimes I Just don't know.
And I don't wanna grow old and burn out
And I don't wanna lose hope and find out
What can you do when your dreams turn to your doubts?
Sometimes I just don't Know (2x)
... how to but I won't pretend I'm not another brick in the wall
Another fish in the pot. Another cog in the system
Repetition and routine. I've gotta break this cycle, it's killing all my dreams!
(Chorus)
Keep your head up
Hey... Its never over
Hey... Its just beginning to set in, to begin
The clock tick tocks and the days fly by
It's off to the pace and I don't ask why
Why we're born to conform... to consume... just to die?
Born to conform and we don't ask why.
