The New Republic is a liberal American magazine of commentary on politics and the arts published since 1914, with major influence on American political and cultural thinking. Founded in 1914 by major leaders of the Progressive Movement it attempted to find a balance between a progressivism focused on humanitarianism and moral passion, and on the other hand sought a basis in scientific analysis of social issues. It supported American entry into World War One, but discarded much of its faith in the possibility of a scientific liberalism. After the 1980s it incorporated elements of conservatism. After undergoing a change of ownership and a crisis in 2014 that saw the resignation of many of its editors and writers, its publication was briefly suspended.
As of early 2015 the magazine has a printed version, a website and a tablet app.
In December 2014, Chris Hughes, owner and editor-in-chief of the magazine from 2012, forced out the editor, Franklin Foer; Guy Vidra, the CEO, announced that the magazine would be reduced from twenty to ten issues a year and would move to New York, where it would be reinvented as a “vertically integrated digital-media company.”
The New Republic (Romanian: Noua Republică) is a political party in Romania. It was established in October 2011 as a grassroots movement inspired by a manifesto on blogs and center-right platforms. The movement grew and spawned more than 40 branches around the country. The first President was Mihail Neamțu, an intellectual who entered politics. The Vice President is George Mioc. On 16 March 2015, Neamțu announced he was stepping down to focus more on his family.
In July 2012, the party's first National Convention elected Mihail Neamțu as party president. Neamțu has a PhD degree in theology from King's College London. Soon after its founding, the party joined Right Romania Alliance (ARD), together with the former governing party, Democratic Liberal Party (PDL); Civic Force, the party of former Prime Minister Mihai Răzvan Ungureanu; and the Christian Democratic National Peasants' Party (PNTCD). The party filled 9 candidates on the ARD list at 2012 legislative election, but because of administrative problems, New Republic's candidates ran as independents or under PNTCD's logo instead. The party's Vice-President at that time, Valeriu Todiraşcu, was elected to the Senate.
The New Republic or Culture, Faith and Philosophy in an English Country House by English author William Hurrell Mallock (1849–1923) is a novel first published by Chatto and Windus of London in 1877. The work had its genesis as a serialization. In June–December 1876 (after Mallock had secured his Bachelor of Arts degree at Oxford in 1874, the same year as Oscar Wilde) it appeared as a series of sketches in Belgravia magazine.
The novel is a satire consisting almost entirely of dialogue and mocking most of the important figures then at Oxford University, with regards to aestheticism and Hellenism.
The famous people Mallock depicts are as follows, together with the names of the characters that represent them.
The book became a best seller in its time and retains much of its humour and satirical bite today. As author David Daiches wrote in 1951, "If we can read through The New Republic without at one point or another being made to feel a little foolish, we are wise indeed."

The New 52 is a 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire line of ongoing monthly superhero comic books. Following the conclusion of the "Flashpoint" crossover storyline, DC cancelled all of its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011 with new first issues. Among the series being renumbered are Action Comics and Detective Comics, which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s.
The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics are now released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to fifty-two. Various changes were also made to DC's fictional universe to entice new readers, including to DC's internal continuity to make characters more modern and accessible. As well, characters from the former Wildstorm and Vertigo imprint were absorbed into the DC Universe.
The New 52 branding ended after the completion of the "Convergence" storyline in May 2015, although the continuity of the New 52 continued. In June 2015, 24 new titles were launched, alongside 25 returning titles, with several of those receiving new creative teams.

I wish I could live free
Hope it's not beyond me
Settling down takes time
One day we'll live together
And life will be better
I have it here, yeah, in my mind
Baby, you know someday you'll slow
And baby, my hearts been breaking.
I gave a lot to you
I take a lot from you too
You slave a lot for me
Guess you could say I gave you my edge
But I can't pretend I don't need to defend some part of me from you
I know I've spent some time lying
You're looking all right tonight
