William Forsythe (actor)

William Forsythe (born June 7, 1955) is an American character actor. He is most well known for his portrayal of various gangsters and tough guys in films such as Raising Arizona, Once Upon a Time in America, Stone Cold, Out For Justice, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Dick Tracy, The Rock, and The Devil's Rejects. He also played recurring characters in the series Boardwalk Empire, Justified, John Doe, and The Untouchables as Al Capone.

Career

He portrayed serial killer John Wayne Gacy in Dear Mr. Gacy, a film adaptation of The Last Victim, the memoirs of Jason Moss, a college student who corresponded with Gacy his last year on death row. The film was released in 2010.

Despite a popular misconception, William is of no relation to late fellow actor John Forsythe. However, he laughingly admits, "That issue comes up a lot."

James Carpinello

James Carpinello (born August 13, 1975) is an American film, television, and Broadway actor who came to national attention with his appearances in Tori Spelling's VH1 sitcom So NoTORIous. He is also part of the musical Rock of Ages.

Career

Broadway productions

Carpinello first appeared on Broadway in the 1999 musical Saturday Night Fever as Tony Manero. The musical is based on the 1977 film Saturday Night Fever in which the role of Manero was played by John Travolta.

He was next cast as Link Larkin in the Broadway musical version of Hairspray, but left the show prior to its first pre-Broadway performances in Seattle in order to shoot the film The Great Raid in 2002. He was replaced by Matthew Morrison.

For his third Broadway outing, Carpinello was cast in the Broadway musical Xanadu. Like Saturday Night Fever, Xanadu is based on a film of the same name—1980s Xanadu, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Michael Beck as Sonny, the leading role for which Carpinello was cast. Due to breaking his leg in three places while roller skating during a rehearsal on June 12, 2007, Carpinello was forced to leave the production just two weeks before its scheduled June 26, 2007, opening at the Helen Hayes Theatre. Cheyenne Jackson assumed the role of Sonny as of June 22, 2007; the musical's opening was rescheduled for July 10, 2007.

Zach Gilford

Zachary Michael "Zach" Gilford (born January 14, 1982) is an American actor best known for his role as Matt Saracen on the NBC sports drama Friday Night Lights.

Early life and education

Gilford was born in Evanston, Illinois, the son of Anne and Steve Gilford. He is of half Swedish and half Russian Jewish descent. He graduated from Northwestern University and Evanston Township High School. He served as a Trip Leader for Adventures Cross-Country and has led wilderness and adventure trips for teenagers to Alaska, British Columbia, California, Hawaii, and the South Pacific. Gilford also worked as a staff member for YMCA Camp Echo in Fremont, Michigan.

Acting career

In 2005, he appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In 2006, Gilford landed a regular role in Friday Night Lights, in which he played the role of Matt Saracen in the main cast, from Season 1 to Season 3. In 2009, Gilford was switched to the recurring cast in Seasons 4 and 5. That year, he also made his feature film debut, co-starring in The Last Winter (2006).

The Mob Doctor

The Mob Doctor is an American television drama that aired on Fox from September 17, 2012 to January 7, 2013 as a part of the 2012–13 network television season. The series was created by Josh Berman and Rob Wright and is based on the book Il Dottore: The Double Life of a Mafia Doctor by Ron Felber. Berman, Wright, Michael Dinner, and Carla Kettner serve as executive producers.

On November 28, 2012, Fox announced the show's cancellation.

Premise

The series follows Grace Devlin, a surgical resident, who juggles her hospital duties with protecting her brother from the Mob. Grace works off her brother's debt by helping anyone they demand.

Production

On May 9, 2012, Fox placed a series order for the drama for the 2012–13 television season.

In production, a working title for the show was Dirty Medicine.

Jordana Spiro

Jordana Ariel Spiro (born April 12, 1977) is an American film and television actress. She is known for starring in the TBS comedy series My Boys as P.J. Franklin.

Life and career

Spiro was born and raised in Manhattan. She was raised Jewish. Spiro has a brother and three sisters. Spiro studied at the Circle in the Square Theatre school and briefly attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. In fall 2009, she began the MFA Program in Filmmaking at Columbia University. Spiro currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.

Spiro starred in the TBS original comedy series My Boys. She played the role of P.J., a twenty-something “guy's girl”, and sports reporter who tries to find romance within her world that is dominated by male friends. The series wrapped its fourth and final season on TBS in 2010.

Spiro also appeared in the 2009 comedy The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard alongside Jeremy Piven, Ed Helms and Rob Riggle, and produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The Goods was directed by Neal Brennan.
