2011 Masters (snooker)

The 2011 Ladbrokes Mobile Masters was a professional non-ranking snooker tournament held between 9–16 January 2011 at the Wembley Arena in London, England. This was the first time that the Masters was sponsored by Ladbrokes.

Mark Selby was the defending champion, but he lost in the first round 4–6 against Mark King.

The tournament made history, as it was the first to feature two Asian players in the final.Ding Junhui won in the final 10–4 against Marco Fu.

Field

Defending champion Mark Selby was the number 1 seed with World Champion Neil Robertson seeded 2. The remaining places were allocated to players based on the latest world rankings (revision 2). Jamie Cope was making his debut in the Masters.

2010 Masters (snooker)

The 2010 PokerStars.com Masters was a professional non-ranking snooker tournament that took place between 10–17 January 2010 at the Wembley Arena in London, England. This was the first time that the Masters was sponsored by PokerStars.com.

Mark Selby won in the final 10–9 against Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Field

Defending champion Ronnie O'Sullivan was the number 1 seed with World Champion John Higgins seeded 2. Places were allocated to the top 16 players in the world rankings. Players seeded 15 and 16 played in the wild-card round against the winner of the qualifying event, Rory McLeod (ranked 39), and wild-card selection Jimmy White (ranked 56). Rory McLeod was making his debut in the Masters.

The 2009 Masters Qualifying Event was held between 26 and 29 October 2009 at Pontins in Prestatyn, Wales.Rory McLeod was rewarded with a wild-card to the 2010 Masters, becoming the first ever black player to appear at the final stage of the tournament.

2014 Masters (darts)

The 2014 Unibet Masters was the second staging of the non-ranking darts tournament The Masters, held by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). It was held between 1–2 November 2014 at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland. The match distance changed this year with the first round and quarter finals best of 19 legs. The semi finals and final also increased in distance to best of 21 legs.

Phil Taylor was the defending champion, having beaten Adrian Lewis 10–1 in the inaugural tournament's final. James Wade beat Taylor 11–9 in the semi finals. Wade got off to a slow start in the final against Mervyn King, and trailed 0–5, 1–6, 2–9 and 6–10. However, Wade won the last 5 legs to triumph 11–10, and win his first major title since the 2011 UK Open.
