The Lesson

The Lesson (French: La Leçon) is a one-act play by French-Romanian playwright Eugène Ionesco. It was first performed in 1951 in a production directed by Marcel Cuvelier (who also played the Professor). Since 1957 it has been in permanent showing at Paris' Théâtre de la Huchette, on an Ionesco double-bill with The Bald Soprano. The play is regarded as an important work in the "Theatre of the Absurd."

Plot summary

This play takes place in the office and dining room of a small French flat. The Professor, a man of 50 to 60, is expecting a new Pupil (aged 18). The Professor's Maid, a stout, red-faced woman of 40 to 50, worries about the Professor's health. As the absurd and nonsensical lesson progresses, the Professor grows more and more angry with what he perceives as the Pupil's ignorance, and the Pupil becomes more and more quiet and meek. Even her health begins to deteriorate, and what starts as a toothache develops into her entire body aching. At the climax of the play, after a long bout of non sequiturs (which are frequently used in Ionesco's plays), the Professor stabs and murders the Pupil. The play ends with the Maid greeting a new Pupil, taking the play full circle, back to the beginning.

This is a list of episodes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 TV series. The series debuted on February 8, 2003 on the Fox Network as part of Fox's 4Kids TV Saturday morning lineup, and ended on March 27, 2010. The series was produced by Mirage Studios, which owned one third of the rights to the show.

Series

Season One: 2003

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' first season originally aired between February 4, 2003 and November 1, 2003, beginning with the "Things Change" episode. The episodes were released in two separate volumes, the first on May 22, 2007 with twelve episodes, and the second on September 18, 2007 with fourteen episodes.

Season Two: 2003–04

The Shredder returns in season 2 and is revealed to be an Utrom named Ch'rell. Karai the daughter of the Shredder makes her first appearance in this season.

Season Three: 2004–05

Many of the Ninja Turtles enemies return in season 3. This is the final season that includes Utrom Shredder.

The Lesson (song)

"The Lesson" is the song written by David Mack and recorded by Vikki Carr in 1967 and was released as a single as the follow-up to Carr's hit song "It Must Be Him". Like the previous single, "The Lesson" reached the top of the Easy Listening chart, spending one week at number one in February 1968. On the Billboard Hot 100, it peaked at number thirty-four.

Z Rock

Z-Rock was a nationally syndicated radio network based out of Dallas, Texas, USA, in the mid-1980s through the mid-1990s that played heavy metal and hard rock music. The format was one of ABC Radio Network's (now Cumulus Media Networks') 24-hour satellite formats (formerly Satellite Music Network). Z-Rock debuted on Labor Day 1986 and is credited with being the first nationally focused radio station/network. In March 1990, Z Rock was nominated for Billboard Awards, the only full-time hard rock/metal programming ever nominated in the history of Billboard magazine. After several changes in personnel and programming direction, the network was discontinued on December 31, 1996. During its early days the station drew attention for playing unedited, explicit versions of songs. The station also gained notoriety in the DFW area for their "mascot" vehicle, "the Z Rock hearse", which was displayed at various events and locations around the DFW Metroplex. The vehicle ultimately was awarded to a lucky winner in a promotional givaway. Dennis C. Weaver of Dallas drew the "lucky key" in a drawing held at Sound Climax, a Dallas car audio store which had outfitted the vehicle with stereo gear to showcase their products.

Z-Rock (Bulgaria)

Radio Z-Rock is a Bulgarian rock music radio station, launched in 2006. It is part of BTV Media Group owned by Central European Media Enterprises. The radio started on the frequencies of Radio New Europe. Z-Rock is the second rock radio station in Bulgaria after the close down of Rock radio Tangra in 2003. The station airs in Burgas, Pleven, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Lovech, Montana, Plovdiv, Razgrad, Sofia, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Yambol. Listeners can expect the hits of Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and Kiss.

Z Rock (TV series)

Z Rock is an American comedy television series, which airs on the IFC in the United States. The show is a semi-scripted comedy and is based on the double life of a Brooklyn band, ZO2. By night, they are a hard rock band but, to pay the bills, they are the "Z Brothers" by day, playing at kiddie parties. ZO2 consists of brothers Paulie Z (Paulie Zablidowsky), David Z (David Zablidowsky) and their childhood friend Joey Cassata (Himself).

The series was filmed and produced in New York City by Mark Mark Productions.
