Last Day or Last Days may refer to:
"The Last Day" is the sixth, and last, episode of science fiction sit-com Red Dwarf Series III, and the eighteenth in the series run. It premiered on the British television channel BBC2 on 19 December 1989. Written by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor, and directed by Ed Bye, the story is about Kryten's expiry date and how Lister decides to give him a last day to remember. The episode was re-mastered, along with the rest of the first three series, in 1998.
A message pod reaches Red Dwarf from Diva-Droid International, manufacturers of Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) and the 4000 series of mechanoids. It announces that Kryten's built-in expiry date is almost up and his in-built shut-down chip will automatically activate in twenty-four hours time. Kryten resigns himself to his fate, telling Lister (Craig Charles) he's going to get his reward in "Silicon Heaven". Lister tries to tell him there's no such place, to no avail. Lister is sickened that Kryten is forced to shut himself down just to make room for a newer model and is determined Kryten's going to enjoy his last day in a profitless and non-practical way (Kryten's definition of fun). He even goes to the trouble of building the robotic Marilyn Monroe kit that's been hanging around the ship for years, whilst Holly (Hattie Hayridge) knocks up a special android home brew using Vimto and liquid nitrogen.
The Last Day (French: Le Dernier Jour) is a 2004 French drama film directed by Rodolphe Marconi.
Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, listen , October 31, 1760 (exact date questionable) – May 10, 1849) was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period. He was influenced by such painters as Sesshu, and other styles of Chinese painting. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景, Fugaku Sanjūroku-kei, c. 1831) which includes the internationally recognized print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s.
Hokusai created the "Thirty-Six Views" both as a response to a domestic travel boom and as part of a personal obsession with Mount Fuji. It was this series, specifically The Great Wave print and Fine Wind, Clear Morning, that secured Hokusai’s fame both in Japan and overseas. As historian Richard Lane concludes, "Indeed, if there is one work that made Hokusai's name, both in Japan and abroad, it must be this monumental print-series...". While Hokusai's work prior to this series is certainly important, it was not until this series that he gained broad recognition.
Hokusai is a rayed impact crater on Mercury, which was discovered in 1991 by ground-based radar observations conducted at Goldstone Observatory. The crater was initially known as feature B. Its appearance was so dissimilar to other impact craters that it was once thought to be a shield volcano. However improved radar images by the Arecibo Observatory obtained later in 2000–2005 clearly showed that feature B is an impact crater with an extensive ray system. The bright appearance of rays in the radio images indicates that the crater is geologically young; fresh impact ejecta has a rough surface, which leads to strong scattering of radio waves.
Hokusai is named after Katsushika Hokusai (1760–1849), a Japanese artist and printmaker of the Edo period. The name Hokusai was suggested by radar astronomer John K. Harmon. The crater has a diameter of about 100 km; the rays extend for thousands kilometers, covering much of the northern hemisphere.
See the outline of the frames
Of where the pictures used to be
Closets full of clothes are empty
Now this mess belongs to me
Leaving me room for all the baggage
I've been keeping locked inside
I said I'd get over her, but I lied....
Yesterday, she walked out of my life
She said it was the best for both of us
The other day, I was doin' fine
But yesterday was the last day of my life
Every minute I'm alone I watch the phone
I can't believe
It's so pathetic how my imagination
Gets the best of me
Maybe I'll phone her up, won't act grown up
Then she'll hang up the line
Now I'll just have to get a life
Yesterday she walked out of my life
She said it was the best for both of us
The other day I was doin' fine
Yesterday was the last day of my life
Yesterday she walked out of my life
The day before, I was feelin' fine
Yesterday was the last day of my life
Why did I doubt her (Yesterday)
I'm better without her (Yesterday)
Yesterday she walked out of my life
There she goes
If she don't care why the hell should I
yesterday was the best day of my life
Yesterday she walked out of my life
If she don't care, why the hell should I
Yesterday was the best day of my....
