Gregory Wilson may refer to:
Greg Wilson (born September 14, 1990) is an American Football wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL).
Wilson transferred from Diablo Valley Community College to Fordham the 2011 and 2012 seasons at Fordham University, where he led the team in 2011 for 539 receiving yards and had 20.7 yards per carry, another team-leading stat. In 2012, Wilson started all 12 games as a senior, placing second on the team in receiving yards. He declared for the 2013 NFL Draft, but went undrafted.
Wilson was invited to the San Francisco 49ers rookie minicamp but did not make the team. Having no position for the 2013 NFL season, he took up a job as a solar power salesman in San Francisco. Wilson was brought in for a workout in November 2013 but was not signed until January 2014, shortly before the Broncos were to play in the 2014 AFC Championship Game, on the practice squad. Wilson's role was very minimal, acting as one of the Seahawks' receivers on the scout team. Wilson was kept by the Broncos for the 2014 NFL season, staying for the first three preseason games and obtaining 3 receptions for 22 yards. Ultimately, Wilson was cut from the team.
Greg Wilson (born 1960) is an English DJ and producer associated with both the early 80s electro scene in Manchester and the current disco / re-edit movement. He's also a writer / commentator on dance music and popular culture.
Growing up in New Brighton on Merseyside, Wilson lived above his family's pub during the years 1966–1973. The premises included two function rooms where he’d witness mobile discos featuring on a weekly basis at wedding receptions and parties. His main musical influences came from the record collections of his elder brother and sister, especially the soul music labels Tamla Motown, Stax and Atlantic. Wilson began his career as a DJ in 1975 at the age of 15, having bought a mobile set-up from his schoolfriend Derek Kelsey (later known as DJ Derek Kaye). He began a residency at local nightspot The Chelsea Reach on 6 December 1975, and remained at the venue until 1977. Further local residencies followed at The Penny Farthing (1976–77) and The Golden Guinea (1977-1980), where he first built his reputation as a black music specialist, playing soul, funk, disco and jazz-funk. He also worked as a DJ in Denmark and Norway during a 2-month period in 1978.
Greg Wilson, better known by the stage name The Greg Wilson, is an American comedian, actor, and voice actor based in Los Angeles. He is best known for his role as Arno Blount in the 2008 movie The Hottie and the Nottie.
The Greg Wilson got his start in comedy as a member of the Dallas improv theater group Ad-Libs. He went on to develop his own shows: The Comedy Madhouse, in Las Vegas, and later on, THE GREG WILSON'S Stand-Up|SMACKDOWN!, in New York City.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Wilson has performed in venues such as The Laugh Factory and Stand Up NY. On television, he has made appearances in several stand-up comedy shows and specials, including Showtime's White Boyz in the Hood, Comics Unleashed, and Comedy.tv, and was featured in an episode of the reality show Who Wants to Date a Comedian?. From 2012 to 2013, he was a cast member on World's Dumbest.... He also co-hosts the podcast Hot N' Heavy, along with model Angie Everhart.
Wilson runs a stand-up comedy academy, The Comedy Institute. In it, he offers courses on storytelling, handing hecklers, and other skills necessary for a stand-up comedian, as well as a master class on "Mastering Stand-Up".
