The Gambit is a bilingual rap music artist and producer from Finland that performs songs in English and in Finnish. He has a Master's degree in Economics & Business Administration and is also an LL.M. graduate. The Gambit debuted in 2005 with his independently released single, Move Gambit / Cos My Clique Is, which reached #9 in the Finland singles chart.

The Gambit runs a label/production company QGL - Queen Gambit Laboratoires. He is also a partner in a film production company Twisted Films whose client roster includes, for example, BMW and Universal Music among others. The Gambit's debut album, "Rosary", released in 2007 led him to open shows for international acts such as Delinquent Habits, Rick Ross and Three 6 Mafia. His beats and remixes have featured artists such as Deams, De La Soul, Ice-T, Psycho Les of The Beatnuts and opera singer Marika Krook.

In 2008 The Gambit inked a brand partnership deal with Pepsi. During this same year his music video, "Snake Styles", was awarded in the Oulu Music Video Festival and he was also credited as the best local rap artist by City-magazine. The Gambit signed a producer management contract to the United States in 2011[1].

The Gambit released his first Finnish album "Kaupunkishamaani" on January 11, 2012[2], which debuted #50 on the mainstream album chart of Finland on its first week, being the second best-selling rap album of the week[3].

    Gambit (newspaper)

    Gambit is a New Orleans, Louisiana-based free alternative weekly newspaper that was established in 1981. Gambit features reporting about local politics, news, food and drink, arts, music, film, events, environmental issues and other topics, as well as listings. Gambit publishes 40,000 papers each Tuesday, which are distributed to 400 locations in the New Orleans metro area beginning Sunday afternoon.

    The paper's columnists include political editor Clancy DuBos, who is also a political analyst and commentator on WWL-TV. Past columnists have included Chris Rose, Andrei Codrescu and Ronnie Virgets. Jeremy Alford is a contributing writer based in Baton Rouge, who writes on statewide issues and has won several Louisiana Press Association awards for his coverage. Regular features include "Scuttlebutt" (political news briefs), and "Bouquets & Brickbats," weekly awards for the city's "heroes and zeroes."
