Eyes are the organs of vision. They detect light and convert it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons. In higher organisms, the eye is a complex optical system which collects light from the surrounding environment, regulates its intensity through a diaphragm, focuses it through an adjustable assembly of lenses to form an image, converts this image into a set of electrical signals, and transmits these signals to the brain through complex neural pathways that connect the eye via the optic nerve to the visual cortex and other areas of the brain. Eyes with resolving power have come in ten fundamentally different forms, and 96% of animal species possess a complex optical system. Image-resolving eyes are present in molluscs, chordates and arthropods.
The simplest "eyes", such as those in microorganisms, do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, which is sufficient for the entrainment of circadian rhythms. From more complex eyes, retinal photosensitive ganglion cells send signals along the retinohypothalamic tract to the suprachiasmatic nuclei to effect circadian adjustment and to the pretectal area to control the pupillary light reflex.
Eyes is an ABC television series starring Tim Daly as Harlan Judd. Eyes follows the firm of Judd Risk Management which uses marginally legal means to investigate individuals and crimes where law enforcement would fall short. With the help of high-tech gadgets, Harlan Judd and his employees recover money for victims as well as investigate individuals for clients but still manage to keep plenty of secrets from one another.
In May 2005, having rescheduled the sixth episode twice, ABC announced that they would not be airing the remaining episodes until June at the earliest. They later announced that it would not be picked up for a second season and that the remaining episodes would remain unaired.
New Zealand television station TV2 picked up this show and aired the complete series, all twelve episodes, in the second half of 2005. These episodes appeared online via BitTorrent soon after. The show was also partially aired on Singapore television station Mediacorp Channel 5, with the pilot episode and episodes #106 to #112 being skipped. Episode #111 ("Burglary") was an exception, and was aired as the fifth episode. The show was also aired in full on France cable television station Canal Jimmy in 2006. In the beginning of 2008 the show was aired in full on Polish television station TVN 7. The series was shown on the Nine Network in Australia in 2007.

Youthquake! is a 1976 documentary directed by Max B. Miller. It examines the influence of rock music on religious beliefs. It won the Golden Globe Award for Best Documentary Film at the 33rd Golden Globe Awards.
Youthquake is the second album by the British pop group Dead or Alive, released in May 1985. The album was their commercial breakthrough in Europe and the United States, due to the single "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)", which was a UK number-one hit and a top 20 hit in the United States. Additional single releases included "Lover Come Back To Me", "In Too Deep" and "My Heart Goes Bang (Get Me to the Doctor)". This was Dead or Alive's first collaboration with the Stock Aitken Waterman production team. Youthquake was re-released in the UK on compact disc in 1994, with the two bonus tracks that were previously included on the original CD and cassette versions of the album.
Recent US and Japanese reissues have reverted to the original vinyl track listing. In July 2013 it was reissued in Japan in BLU-SPEC CD 2 format.
The album peaked at #9 in the UK and was certified Gold by the BPI for sales of over 100,000 copies. It also peaked at #31 in the US and was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales over 500,000.
YouthQuake is an annual conference that is the primary youth event of ACTS 29 Ministries, a Christian ministry based in Atlanta, Georgia. The event was started in the early 1990s by Episcopal Renewal Ministries and its then-president, the Rev. Charles Fulton. In 1993, the location was changed to Ridgecrest Conference Center in Ridgecrest, North Carolina. In 1996, the "YouthQuake" name was permanently added. In 1997, the location changed for one year to Lake Junaluska, North Carolina, but returned to Ridgecrest the following year.
The YouthQuake conferences range in size from about 50 students to more than 1,500, and have been held in locations across the United States. The goals of the weekends are to convert students to Christianity and to help converts grow in their faith.
During the weekend, a number of national speakers address the students. Past speakers have included Jeanne Mayo, Sid Bream, Gregg Johnson and Eric Moulton, as well as Father Fulton and ACTS 29's current President, the Rev. Alan W. Hansen. In addition, YouthQuake previously included concerts as part of its Saturday line-up, including Bleach and Out of Eden. For the past five years, however, the event has focused more on worship and has featured worship leaders like Steve Fee and Kristian Stanfill. Currently, the worship band Unhindered is serving as YouthQuake's worship leaders.
The Eyes
Oh no - they're at it again
Looking inside my secrets
Coming through cracks before I mend the wall
Get out - cause you're breaking the law
How did you ever find me
Places where I can hide can't get much smaller
I have invisible dreams
Where no one can touch me
Maybe I'll find a way to disappear
No one moves - and no one dies
Just the eyes
I've run as fast as I can
Thinking they'll never catch me
What a waste of breath a waste of time
Feel like digging a hole
Going in even deeper
Maybe they just can't see what just can't shine
I'll be lost - so no goddbyes
If no one moves then nothing dies
Just the eyes
Oh no - they've done it again
Sending out the detectives
Searching for signs of life and that means me
In my invisible dreams
When no one is watching
I'd make the whole world blind and I'd be free
I'll be lost - so no replies
If no one looks then no one dies
Just the eyes
Those eyes
Magic numbers
Even sacrifice
I can't find a way
