The Chase Australia

The Chase Australia is an Australian television quiz show based on the British program of a similar name. It is broadcast on the Seven Network and hosted by Andrew O'Keefe. Four contestants play against an opponent, known as the "chaser", who plays for the bank. Like the UK version, there are five chasers on the show; they are Matt Parkinson, Brydon Coverdale, Anne Hegerty, Issa Schultz and Mark Labbett. The show premiered on 14 September 2015.

Background

In mid-2014 it was reported that the Seven Network had considered producing a local version of The Chase on the back of good ratings for the British version of the show which has been airing in the 3:00 pm timeslot since August 2013. A pilot episode on the UK set was made, but ultimately it was decided not to proceed.

However, interest in a local version was renewed in May 2015 and in July the Seven Network commissioned the show to eventually replace Deal or No Deal and Million Dollar Minute in the 5:00 pm timeslot in a bid to revive ratings for its struggling 6:00 pm nightly news.

The Chase (Desperate Housewives)

"The Chase" is the sixteenth episode of the sixth season of the American comedy-drama series, Desperate Housewives, and the 127th overall episode of the series. It originally aired on ABC in the United States on February 28, 2010. In the episode, Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) gets a break from the children when one of them catches chickenpox, Lynette (Felicity Huffman) forgets her daughter's birthday, and Katherine (Dana Delany) continues to explore her feelings of lesbianism.

The episode was written by John Pardee and Joey Murphy, and directed by Larry Shaw. It included the third in a string of guest appearances by Julie Benz, a former stripper who serves as a romantic interest for Katherine. The pairing marked the first lesbian relationship in Desperate Housewives. "The Chase" also marked the first appearance of Samuel Page, who plays a mysterious man named Sam Allen who takes an unusually strong interest in Bree (Marcia Cross).

"The Chase" received generally mixed to negative reviews. According to Nielsen Media Research, the episode was seen by 10.89 million viewers, making it the second lowest rated Desperate Housewives episode at the time. Viewership for "The Chase" suffered due to competition from the 2010 Winter Olympics closing ceremony.

DJ Food

DJ Food is an electronic music project currently headed by Kevin Foakes, aka Strictly Kev. Originally conceived by the members of Coldcut on the Ninja Tune independent record label, the project started in 1990 on the premise of providing metaphorical "food for DJs". DJ Food released the Jazz Brakes series, with Jazz Brakes Volume 3 being the most successful. The records consisted of collections of breaks, loops and samples, that could be used for mixing, remixing and producing.

The later DJ Food albums have developed with shades of Latin, dub, techno, ambient, and Jungle.

The 1995 album, A Recipe for Disaster was a conscious move away from the Jazz Brakes volumes to form more of an identity as an artist, and a remix album of tracks from all 6 LPs, entitled Refried Food was released the following year. The more recent release, Kaleidoscope, features guest artists including Bundy K. Brown (formerly of Tortoise, Directions in Music, Pullman) and voiceover artist and jazz poet, Ken Nordine.

The Food

I walked in the crib, got 2 kids,
and my baby momma late (uh oh, uh oh, uh oh).
So I had to did what I had to did,
'cause I had to give (do-ough, do-ough, do-ough).
I'm up all night gettin' my money right,
until the blue and whites (popo, popo, popo).
Now the money coming slow, but at least a ***** know
slow motion better than (no-oh, no-oh, no-oh)
You love to hear the story, again and again
about these young brothers from the city of wind.
Like juice and gin in the city we blend
amongst the hustle, titties and skin, fifties and rims.
Y'all know the spreewells
and trucks that's detailed,
heartless females that wanna ride in 'em
felt the southside in them with raw hides and denim,
bent minds collide with them.
A system that tries victims, we livin' in.
My man in the fast lane pivotin',
on the block ******* sellin' like m & m,
on the block get jump off like Kim 'n 'em,
on the block is how you can feel it in your skin-nin-nin.
Shorties get the game with no instructions of asemblin',
odds right it seems like the fight is dim in him.
Call my man cuzin like I'm kin to him,
he tryin' to stay straight, the streets is bendin' him.
(Yo) I walked in the crib, got 2 kids,
and my baby momma late (uh oh, uh oh, uh oh).
So I had to did what I had to did,
'cause I had to give (do-ough, do-ough, do-ough).
(Yo) I'm up all night gettin' my money right,
until the blue and whites (popo, popo, popo).
Now the money coming slow, but at least a ***** know
slow motion better than (no-oh, no-oh, no-oh)
It's all good in the hood like rats and gyms,
fullbacks and tims, blacks and rims.
Whether on ball courts,
attires are ball shorts,
we never fall short.
With us it's all force like air ones.
Some wave some air guns,
the day of the fair ones it's over fo'.
Cats is colder than four below, wha'sup?
I go toe to toe
wondering if it's for the art or for the dough.
Though I know to grow a ***** gotta learn to let go,
though I know the dough I gotta bring back to the ghetto.
Aeros or Tarot cards pointin' to the grind,
po' livin' and mo' prisons pointin' to my mind.
Shine the light up!
Clench my fists tight and holdin' it right up.
Freedom fight in dark gear for the years to get brighter.
Situations, the jaws get tighter,
my man trying to get his way to higher
(Yo..yo..yo) I walked in the crib, got 2 kids,
and my baby momma late (uh oh, uh oh, uh oh).
Yo.. hey yo I, I know I could make it right
if I can just swallow my pride,
but I can't run away or put my gun away.
You can't front on me!
I, no I can't let it ride..
no no not tonight,
no I can't run away or put my gun away.
