The CW Plus is a national feed of The CW Television Network, owned by The CW Network, LLC (a joint venture between Time Warner and CBS Corporation, which each maintain a 50% ownership interest), that is primarily carried on digital subchannels and non-broadcast cable television outlets. The service is intended for areas ranked below the top 99 television markets in the United States designated by Nielsen Media Research. In addition to carrying CW network programming on Monday through Fridays in daytime and prime time, as well as its Saturday morning educational programming block, The CW Plus runs a mix of syndicated and brokered programs outside of designated network programming time periods.
The CW handles programming and promotional services for The CW Plus at its corporate headquarters in Burbank, California (marketing services were handled through a separate division for the service until March 2008, when these operations were transferred to The CW's marketing department due to layoffs imposed by the network); centralcasting operations for the CW Plus affiliates are hubbed at the California Video Center in Los Angeles.
The CW Television Network (most commonly referred to as The CW) is an American broadcast television network that is operated by The CW Network, LLC, a limited liability joint venture between CBS Corporation, the former owners of the United Paramount Network (UPN), and the Warner Bros. Entertainment division of Time Warner, former majority owner of The WB Television Network. The "CW" name is an initialism derived from the first letters of the names of its two parent corporations (CBS and Warner Bros.).
The network made its debut on September 18, 2006, after its two predecessors, UPN and The WB, respectively ceased independent operations on September 15 and September 17 of that year. The CW's first two nights of programming – on September 18 and 19, 2006 – consisted of reruns and launch-related specials. The CW marked its formal launch date on September 20, 2006, with the two-hour premiere of the seventh cycle of America's Next Top Model. The network's programming lineup is intended to appeal mainly to young adults between the ages of 18 and 34. The network currently runs programming six days a week: airing Monday through Fridays in the afternoon and in prime time, along with a Saturday morning live-action educational programming block produced by Litton Entertainment called One Magnificent Morning.
WPSG, channel 57, is a CW owned-and-operated television station located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The station is owned by the CBS Television Stations subsidiary of CBS Corporation, and is part of a duopoly with CBS owned-and-operated station KYW-TV (channel 3). The two stations share a studio and office facilities located on Hamilton Street north of Center City Philadelphia, WPSG's transmitter is located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia.
The channel 57 frequency was originally assigned to Easton, Pennsylvania where it was home to WGLV-TV, a dual ABC/DuMont affiliate owned by the Easton Express newspaper, which first signed on the air June 26, 1953. Unfortunately, the station struggled to get an audience mainly because it was a UHF station at a time when television manufacturers were not required to offer UHF tuners. Its fate was sealed in 1957, when the FCC collapsed the Lehigh Valley into the Philadelphia television market. The Philadelphia stations built tall towers in the city's hilly Roxborough neighborhood, adding Easton and the rest of the Lehigh Valley to their city-grade coverage. WGLV went dark on November 1 of that year, and several years later the FCC reassigned the channel 57 allocation to Philadelphia.
WJZY, virtual channel 46 (UHF digital channel 47), is a Fox owned-and-operated television station serving Charlotte, North Carolina, United States that is licensed to Belmont. The station is owned by the Fox Television Stations subsidiary of 21st Century Fox, as part of a duopoly with Rock Hill, South Carolina-licensed MyNetworkTV owned-and-operated station WMYT-TV (channel 55). The two stations share studio facilities located on Performance Road (along I-85) in unincorporated western Mecklenburg County (with a Charlotte address); WJZY's transmitter is located in Dallas, North Carolina, along the Catawba River.
The station first signed on the air on March 9, 1987, originally operating as an independent station. It was the first full-power station to sign on in the Charlotte area since WCTU-TV (channel 36, now WCNC-TV) launched in July 1967. It was originally owned by Metro-Crescent Communications, a locally based group that included then-Charlotte mayor Harvey Gantt and longtime Charlotte broadcasters Bob Hilker and Bill Rollins. The station was originally licensed with the callsign WMHU, but prior to the station's official debut, the calls were changed to WJZY in November 1986. According to Rollins, the change was made because no other Charlotte station had a "J" or "Z" in its call letters at the time.
Falling in love is sometimes hard
Writing a love song is even harder
Better to leave that to someone else
Someone madder
But this is a song about feeling left out
And this is a song about not being ready
To do what youve been told to do
This is the last drink Im ever gonna have
This is the way that its making me feel
I used to come here to have a good time
But I could feel like this at home
And the couples walk by and they give me the eye
And I can see that the girls just a little bit jealous
Well anytime you want to swap just stop me
Yes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am baby
So the couples walk by and they give me the eye
And it seems like the boys got a thing for me
Well my advice is not to get involved
And closing times now non-existant
So I could stay till judgement day
I could stay till I get bored of the couples walking by
Yes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am baby
Oooh ooohhh
Youre not lonely
I am baby
A million people in the cosmos tonight
Must be rare in this age of life
But none of them can hold a candle to me
And the couples walk by and they give me the eye
But thats not what I what I walk
Around the block and never come back one day
I walk around the block and never come back one day
Yes people have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
People have the nerve to tell me that theyre lonely
Youre not lonely
I am baby
Oooh ooohhh
Youre not lonely
