The Bounty

The Bounty is a 1984 British historical drama film directed by Roger Donaldson, starring Mel Gibson and Anthony Hopkins, and produced by Bernard Williams with Dino De Laurentiis as executive producer. It is the fifth film version of the story of the mutiny on the Bounty. The screenplay was by Robert Bolt and it was based on the book Captain Bligh and Mr. Christian (1972) by Richard Hough. It was made by Dino De Laurentiis Productions and distributed by Orion Pictures Corporation and Thorn EMI Screen Entertainment. The music score was composed by Vangelis and the cinematography was by Arthur Ibbetson.

Plot

The film is set as flashbacks from the court martial at Greenwich of Commanding Lieutenant William Bligh (Anthony Hopkins) for the loss of HMS Bounty to mutineers led by his friend Fletcher Christian (Mel Gibson), during its expedition to Tahiti to gather breadfruit pods for transplantation in the Caribbean.

Bligh sets out from Great Britain in December 1787, electing to sail the Bounty west round the tip of South America in an attempt to use the expedition to fulfill an ambition to circumnavigate the globe. The attempt to round Cape Horn fails due to harsh weather, and the ship is obliged to take the longer eastern route. Finally arriving in Tahiti in October 1788, Bligh finds that due to the delays, the wind is against them for a quick return journey and they must stay on the island for four months longer than planned.

The Bounty Hunter (2010 film)

The Bounty Hunter is a 2010 British-American romantic action comedy film directed by Andy Tennant, starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. The story centers on a bounty hunter (Butler) hired to retrieve his ex-wife (Aniston) who has skipped bail. The film was released in the United Kingdom and United States on March 19, 2010.

Plot

Milo Boyd (Gerard Butler) is a former NYPD detective who now works as a bail enforcement agent (bounty hunter). Milo's ex-wife, Nicole Hurley (Jennifer Aniston), is an investigative reporter who has been arrested for assaulting a police officer (As she later clarifies, she grazed a patrol horse with her car in trying to get to a press conference).

When Nicole receives a tip on a story she is working on — an apparent suicide may actually have been a murder — she skips her bond hearing to meet with her informant, causing the judge to revoke her bail and issue a warrant for her arrest. Unfortunately, just before Nicole arrives, her informant, Jimmy (Adam Rose), is kidnapped.

The Bounty (2012 film)

The Bounty is a 2012 action comedy film featuring the directorial debut of Fung Chi Keung and starring Chapman To, Fiona Sit and Alex Man. In November, the film received the Hong Kong Film Development Fund's "Film Development Foundation Film Production Finance Project" to provide HK$2,605,711 of finance. This is the 13th film financed by The Hong Kong Film Development Fund.

Plot

With an optimistic attitude towards life, Cho Sai Fung (Chapman To) is a neurotic man with extraordinary skills, who relies on bounty hunting to make a living. This time he comes to an island, a small hotel called LAZY Inn, to hunt down a fugitive robber Lee Kin Fai, with a HK$4000,000 reward from the police. Suen Long Ching (Fiona Sit) is the innkeeper's (Alex Man) daughter. She has a rich imagination and curiosity, and is a little hyperactive. The nosy father and daughter have been monitoring the weird customer Cho, with the repeated wrong touch and misunderstanding, attracts a variety of funny jokes.
