The Aftermath (Dystopia album)

The Aftermath is the second album by Dystopia. It was originally released in 1999 as a four-track LP on Life Is Abuse Records, and as a 13-track CD featuring additional songs from their splits with Skaven and Suffering Luna, the Backstabber EP, and one unreleased cover, on Life Is Abuse Records, Misanthropic Records and Crawlspace Records. The final song, "Cosmetic Plague", begins near the end of track 12, and is a Rudimentary Peni cover. The LP version contains tracks 1–4 on side A and has an etching on side B.

The Aftermath (1982 film)

The Aftermath, (also known as Zombie Aftermath), is a 1982 science fiction, horror, and action independent film.

Plot

Three astronauts return to Earth after a nuclear holocaust, although one dies in a crash landing. The two survivors, Newman (Steve Barkett) and Matthews, encounter some mutants before discovering that Los Angeles has been completely destroyed. Seeking shelter, the men take refuge in an abandoned mansion. Newman later encounters a young boy, Chris, hiding in a museum with the curator (Forrest J Ackerman). When the curator passes away, Newman takes Chris under his care. While out seeking supplies one day, Newman and Chris encounter Sarah, who is running from a gang of outlaw bikers led by Cutter (Sid Haig). These survivors decide to fight this gang in this post-apocalypse wasteland.

The Aftermath (Irish band)

The Aftermath are an Irish mod/pop rock band, currently based in Mullingar. They are composed of brothers Johnny (guitar, keys, vocals) and Michael Cronin (drums, percussion, samples, vocals), both of whom are originally from Longford but raised in Leeds, as well as Mullingar guitarist, Justin McNabb and bassist Martin Gray. The Aftermath released their debut album, Friendlier Up Here on 25 April 2008. They have had three singles enter the Irish Singles Chart, all inside the Top 20; "One is Fun/Are You Not?" spent two weeks in the chart and peaked at number eleven, "Hollywood Remake/Need" also spent two weeks in the chart and peaked at number nineteen, whilst latest single "All I Want is For You to Be Happy" spent a week in the chart at number thirteen. All this led to the band being voted at number nine in the "Most Promising for 2007" category in the Hot Press Readers Poll.

The Aftermath have provided support for Razorlight, The Streets, The Mission and The Frames on Irish and European dates. They have played a double-headliner in Whelan's, Dublin with New York outfit Arckid, who feature Liv Tyler’s husband Royston Langdon on bass and lead vocals. Eight weeks of 2006 were spent in BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles's Top Unsigned Bands Chart and they are still the only Irish band to have featured in the Tastemakers Chart. Festival appearances include Electric Picnic, Indie-pendence, Le Chéile andHard Working Class Heroes. The Aftermath are named after the Cronins favourite album by The Rolling Stones. They are signed to the Live Transmission label.

Fót is a town in Pest county, Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary.

Location

Fót is about 17 km (10.56 mi) north of the edge of Budapest. The North Hungarian foothills lie to the west. The nearest settlement to the west is Dunakeszi, to the northeast are Csomád and Veresegyház, to the east is Mogyoród and Budapest is to the south. The highest point of nearby Somlyó Hill reaches 287 m above sea-level.

Architecture

The older areas of Fót feature the notable Catholic Szeplőtelen Fogantatás (Immaculate Conception) Church, built between 1845 and 1855, and the Károlyi Palace, both designed by architect Miklós Ybl.

Steyr AUG

The Steyr AUG is an Austrian bullpup 5.56×45mm NATO assault rifle, designed in the 1960s by Steyr Mannlicher GmbH & Co KG (formerly Steyr-Daimler-Puch). The AUG (Armee-Universal-Gewehr—"universal army rifle") was adopted by the Austrian Army as the StG 77 (Sturmgewehr 77) in 1978, where it replaced the 7.62×51mm StG 58 automatic rifle (a licence-built FN FAL). In production since 1978, it is the standard small arm of the Austrian Bundesheer and various national police units.

The rifle and its variants have also been adopted by the armed forces of Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malaysia, New Zealand, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Pakistan, the Falkland Islands Defence Force and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Design details

The AUG, a bullpup 5.56×45mm automatic rifle, is a selective-fire weapon with a conventional gas-piston-operated action that fires from a closed bolt. Designed as a family of rifles that could be quickly adapted to a wide variety of roles with the change of the barrel to a desired length and profile, the AUG is a modular configuration rifle that employs a high level of polymer and advanced alloy components.
