The Tana (Finnish: Teno or Tenojoki; Northern Sami: Deatnu; Norwegian: Tanaelva; Swedish: Tana älv), is a 361-kilometre (224 mi) long river in the Sápmi area of northern Scandinavia. The river flows through Finnmark county, Norway and the Lapland region of Finland. The Sámi name means "Great River". The main tributaries of Tana are Anarjohka and Karasjohka.
In its upper course it runs for 256 km (159 mi) along the Finnish–Norwegian border, between the municipalities of Utsjoki, Finland and Karasjok and Tana, Norway. The river is the fifth longest in Norway. The last 105 kilometres (65 mi) of the river run through the municipality of Tana in Norway. The river discharges into the Tanafjorden, one of the largest and most natural/virgin river deltas in Europe. The delta is protected and is an important home to wetland birds. There are large deposits of sand in the delta that are exposed sandbars at low tide.
The Tana is well known for its excellent salmon fishery and is the most productive salmon river in Finland and Norway. The world's record for Atlantic salmon is held by a salmon caught on the Tana; it was 36 kilograms (79 lb) and was taken in 1929 by the late Nils Mathis Walle.
The Teno River is a river located in the Maule Region of central Chile. It begins at the confluence of the Malo and Nacimiento rivers. The former originates north of Planchón volcano at Lagunas de Teno. The river flows initially northwest across the Andes. At the locality of Los Queñes, the Teno is joined by the Claro River, which is fed by glaciers of Planchón-Peteroa complex.
Shortly after being crossed by the Pan-American Highway and by Chile's main railroad, the Teno River turns its course southwestward until it meets the Lontué River, about 10 kilometers west of Curicó near the locality of Sagrada Familia, forming the Mataquito River.
Teno is a Chilean city and commune in the Curicó Province, Maule Region. A large percentage of inhabitants are of mestizo and Mapuche Indian origin. The main economy is agricultural farming and livestock raising, often by huasos or Chilean cowhands and shepherds.
According to the 2002 census of the National Statistics Institute, Teno spans an area of 618.4 km2 (239 sq mi) and has 25,596 inhabitants (13,298 men and 12,298 women). Of these, 6,729 (26.3%) lived in urban areas and 18,867 (73.7%) in rural areas. The population grew by 6.3% (1,506 persons) between the 1992 and 2002 censuses.
As a commune, Teno is a third-level administrative division of Chile administered by a municipal council, headed by an alcalde who is directly elected every four years. The 2008-2012 alcalde is Sandra Valenzuela Pérez (UDI).
Within the electoral divisions of Chile, Teno is represented in the Chamber of Deputies by Roberto León (PDC) and Celso Morales (UDI) as part of the 36th electoral district, (together with Curicó, Romeral, Molina, Sagrada Familia, Hualañé, Licantén, Vichuquén and Rauco). The commune is represented in the Senate by Juan Antonio Coloma Correa (UDI) and Andrés Zaldívar Larraín (PDC) as part of the 10th senatorial constituency (Maule-North).
Teno may refer to:
Technische Nothilfe (abbreviated as TN, TeNo, TENO; literally: Technical Emergency Help) was a German organisation. It was established by members of Technische Abteilung (technical unit) of the paramilitary Freikorps Garde-Kavallerie-Schützen-Division.
The TN was founded on September 30, 1919 by Otto Lummitzsch with the stated purpose to protect and maintain vital & strategic facilities (e.g., gas works, waterworks, power stations, railways, post offices, agriculture concerns and food production activities). At the time (1919–1923), these vital infrastructure facilities were under threat from sabotage and attack during a period bordering on civil war, which was caused by the collapse of German economy following the end of World War I and exacerbated by a spate of politically motivated wildcat strikes, usually by Left-wing elements.
The organization was formed from primarily post World War I Army engineering / technical unit members, and transitioned into a volunteer civilian organisation which was registered by the Department of the Interior. The change was required by the demilitarisation requirements of the Treaty of Versailles, in order that the TN would not be classified as a military organization. Based on the nature of its operations, the background of its personnel was mainly conservative middle class, but included a large number of students, especially those in technical studies. In the Weimar Republic period, the TN was seen as a threat by the working class and thus aroused the animosity of trade unionists, and more particularly the Communist Party of Germany. The TN intervened as a volunteer aide organization, when strikes could not be avoided, and when the public welfare was endangered as in strikes of electricity, food service, railroad workers.
En un cuarto dos amantes
Conversaban de su amor
Mientras sus caras mojadas de llanto
Humedecían el dolor.
Cuanto siento marcharme
Tenemos que despertar
Pues tú sabes que me espera en casa
Mañana te llamaré.
Y decirte que tú eres
Importante en mi vivir
Aunque tarde hayas llegado a mi vida
Siempre te amaré.
Te veré a la misma hora
Y en la misma habitación
Lloraremos, sonreiremos, unidos...
De pasión los dos,
Los dos locos de amor.
Volveremos a encontrarnos
Cerca del árbol aquel
Que de tarde nos veía besarnos
Y alejarnos sin querer.
Dos amantes que se quieren
No se pueden olvidar
El amor es sueño errante del que nunca
Quisieramos despertar.
Te veré a la misma
Y en la misma habitación
Lloraremos, sonreiremos, unidos...
De pasión los dos,
