Tell me is the title of an ad calling for universal suffrage in Hong Kong. It ran once as a full page ad on the front page of most Hong Kong newspapers on 28 October 2005, and inspired many other people and groups in Hong Kong to run advertisements supporting democracy.[1]

Tell me, will I see the day of universal suffrage?

A 78 year old Hongkonger who waited from 1984 to 2005

(Original:

告訴我,我會看見普選的一天嗎?

一位從1984年等到2005年,現年78歲的香港人[2])

It was written in white text on a dark background. It also included a picture of an hourglass.[3] About HK$200000 was spent in placing the ads. In 2007, two more ads were placed costing about HK$100000. The old man quoted in the ad worked in the property industry and is now retired. Legislator James To assisted him in designing and placing the advertisements.[4]

Tell Me!

"Tell Me!" was the Icelandic entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2000, performed in English by August & Telma. An Icelandic version was recorded but not released.

The song is an up-tempo duet, with the singers confessing their love for one another and planning to leave where they are in order to "be together all the time". The title comes from the chorus, where both singers ask each other to "tell me" how much they love each other.

It was performed twelfth on the night, following Cyprus' Voice with "Nomiza" and preceding Spain's Serafín Zubiri with "Colgado de un sueño". At the close of voting, it had received 45 points, placing 12th in a field of 24.

The song was succeeded as Icelandic representative at the 2001 contest by Two Tricky with "Angel".

Tell Me (Dru Hill song)

"Tell Me" is the debut single by Dru Hill. In the US, the song peaked at number 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number five on the R&B chart. It sold 600,000 copies domestically, earning a gold certification from the RIAA. It reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart. The song is also the first single from the group's eponymous debut album. The music video, directed by Terry Heller, features the group performing the song in a club.

The song first appeared on the soundtrack of the 1996 film, Eddie.

The group also performed the song while guest-starring in the third season premiere of the American sitcom Moesha aired in August 1997, as well as a fourth season episode of another sitcom, The Parent 'Hood, aired in November 1997.

  • Indigitamenta

In ancient Roman religion, the indigitamenta were lists of deities kept by the College of Pontiffs to assure that the correct divine names were invoked for public prayers. These lists or books probably described the nature of the various deities who might be called on under particular circumstances, with specifics about the sequence of invocation. The earliest indigitamenta, like many other aspects of Roman religion, were attributed to Numa Pompilius, second king of Rome.

    Sources

The books of the Pontiffs are known only through scattered passages preserved throughout Latin literature. Varro is assumed to have drawn on direct knowledge of the lists in writing his now-fragmentary theological books, which were used as a reference by the Church Fathers for their mocking catalogues of minor deities. As William Warde Fowler noted,

Georg Wissowa, however, asserted that Varro's lists were not indigitamenta, but di certi, gods whose function could still be identified with certainty, since by the late Republic some of the most archaic deities of the Roman pantheon were not widely cultivated and understood. Another likely source for the patristic catalogues is the lost work De indigitamentis of Granius Flaccus, Varro's contemporary.
