Telegatto (a composition of tele(visione) and gatto which means "cat", since the prize for winners is a little statue representing a cat) is an Italian television award first given out in 1971 following the contest "Gran Premio internazionale dello Spettacolo", sponsored by the weekly magazine TV Sorrisi e Canzoni and aired on Canale 5. The prize is a golden cat statue with the network's initials on his face. It was inspired by a cartoon on the television series Super Classifica Show, a cult show in the 1980s and early 1990s.
It could be compared with the People's Choice Award and the TV Guide Award.
She wants to pass over
this wrecked transfer
like a burnt transfusion of blood
she needs her seventh year back
watching the last one rest on the surface
just tell me please whats the matter with you
the difference between us
just tell me please whats the matter with you and them
them and me and you and me
there's nothing I can tell you
when you have no place to go no place to sleep
do you know that?
there's no one in this town
that can beat this gong
don't mess with ghosts
do you mind that?
there's no one in this town
you keep talking with ghosts
and your life has gone
do you know this?
do you, do you, do you mind that?
do you, do you, do you know that?
it's late and you should know it
but you gotta call me back
just 50 pence left, I know
but you gotta call me back
