Tax form

A tax form is a blank document or template supplied by a government for use in the reporting of tax information to the government or to potential taxpayers. Specific tax forms are intended to be used by taxpayers, the government itself, or private entities that are required to report information on the tax liabilities of other private entities. Entities fill out the form and file it with the government as a tax return.

Tax returns in the United States are reports filed with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or with the state or local tax collection agency (California Franchise Tax Board, for example) containing information used to calculate income tax or other taxes. Tax returns are generally prepared using forms prescribed by the IRS or other applicable taxing authority.

In 2014 taxes and healthcare became complexly intertwined in the United States due to provisions of the Affordable Care Act that implemented a system of government subsidies (in the form of tax credits) for many individuals to purchase private health insurance.

    History

    2014

To help lower-income families and individuals pay for coverage, the United States government started offering financial support in the form of subsidies, to offset the cost of monthly healthcare insurance premiums and out-of-pocket costs. Premium tax credits are available, depending on 2015 household size and income, and insurance status should be reported when filing a tax return.

    Tax return (Australia)

Australian tax returns for the tax year beginning 1 July and ending 30 June of the following year are generally due on 31 October after the end of the tax year.

Australian individual taxpayers can file their return online with the ATO's e-tax software, by ordering a printed copy of the tax return form, or with the assistance of a tax agent. Until 2011, the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) published TaxPack, a free document designed to help individuals complete their return. In 2012, TaxPack was replaced with a smaller instruction document, due to increased usage of the e-tax software.

Extensions of the deadline for lodging a tax return are automatically available to those individuals using a Registered Tax Agent operating on an extended lodgement system, and extensions can be made available under some circumstances.

In Australia, individuals and taxpaying entities with taxable income might need to lodge different returns with the ATO in respect of various forms of taxation.

    Tax Return

    by: New Mexican Disaster Squad

It's that time of year again another tax return
the time of year that chances come potential slash and burn
another year with money spent and more money to earn
what is it my concern? I wonder if no one will ever learn
it's that time of year again another tax return
the time of acknowledgment I hope I don't forget
the cable company said I owed them more money
but what does it mean to me? This is my concept of being
free tits and ass and bad tooth decay
and rusty throw-aways sleep in an early grave
Walmart secret society that's just a joke to me
I'm told how to behave I know I got a new ulcer
Another tax return reminds me of just how I failed
we don't get what we want unless we re-assess our goals
and what our lives are not a stencil can be bought
and focus on just all the things we got
and those who won't admit that they can't even dealt with it
will have their mind all gone cause of a puzzle that went all wrong
and those who don't find out what responsibilities all about
will have their mind all gone cause of a puzzle that's wrong
