Tarun Chandra

Tarun Chandra (Kannada: ತರುಣ್ ಚಂದ್ರ; born 27 April 1983), mononymously credited as Tarun, is an Indian film actor based in Kannada Film Industry. He made his film debut in the multi-starrer Khushi (2003) and has since then acted in various films, notably being, Geleya (2007), Love Guru (2008) and Gaana Bajaana (2010).

Early life

Tarun was born in Bangalore. He graduated his B.Com degree in MES College, Bangalore. He underwent three months acting course at Kishore Namit Acting Institute, Mumbai before he entered into films. He first appeared as a supporting actor in 2004 released film, Khushi. Later, he approached director Prashanth with his portfolio since the director was looking out for a new face launch for his movie Love Guru and got a break as a lead actor in the same film. He had also acted in a Telugu film Valliddari Vayasu Padahare which was released in 2006.

Tarun Kumar Bhatti, better known as Tarun (Telugu: తరుణ్), is an Indian film actor known for his works in Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, and Malayalam cinema. He has received three state Nandi Awards, a Filmfare Award South, and the National Film Award for his works. He is an accomplished cricketer and participates in Celebrity Cricket League. He received the National Film Award for Best Child Artist in 1991, for his work in Mani Ratnam's Anjali, which was India's official entry to the Oscars for that year.

Tarun won critical acclaim with the Malayalam children's film, Abhayam (1991), which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film for that year, and Tarun won the Best Child artist Award at the Furoshiki Film Festival in Japan. He then appeared as child artist in super hits such as Manasu Mamatha (1990), Surya IPS (1991), Aditya 369 (1991), Teja (1992), My Dear Muthachan (1992), and Johny (1993).
