Tangen is a ferry docking point on the west side of the lake Randsfjorden, in Oppland, Norway.
Tangen is a village lying near the shores of Mjøsa in the municipality of Stange, Norway. Its population (as of 2010) is 3001.
Former Prime Minister of Norway Odvar Nordli was born and raised in Tangen.

Semsvannet and vicinity elected the place of the millennium in Norway. Semsvannet is a great lake in Asker municipality in Akershus county, southwest of Oslo, in Norway. The lake is situated close to, for the Norwegians, famous places such as the ridge Skaugumsåsen, the old cultural house Tangen and Skaugum the official residence of the heir to the throne of Norway, i.e. the crown prince or princess of Norway. The status of Semsvannet as a nature reserve was upgraded when the area was protected as a conservation area October 2, 1992.
Lake Semsvannet is 0.75 km2 (190 acres) and is situated at a height of 145 meters (476 feet) above sea level. The greatest depth is 34 meters. To the lake flows the river Gupelva. From the lake flows the river Askerelva. Regarding the inhabitants of the lake, fish, there are: Northern pike (Esox lucius), European perch (Perca fluviatilis) and Roach (Rutilus rutilus). There are also smaller populations of Brown trout (Salmo trutta), Arctic char (Salvelinus aplinus) and European whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus).
Tangen is a pier and neighborhood in Kristiansand, Norway. It is a part of the Kvadraturen (Kristiansand)|Kvadraturen borough and is mostly populated with new apartments, there is one high school with the pier and Tangen is next to the beach Bystranda. The main quarter for NRK Southern Norway is located at Tangen.
Tangen Park is a grass park in the tip of Tangen, there is a pedestrian road around the area and a playground in the middle, the area is also located with public bathrooms and bench down to the shore for fishing etc.
