Talk Talk Talk is the second studio album by the English rock band The Psychedelic Furs. It was released in 1981 on Columbia Records. It was reissued with bonus tracks in 2002 by Columbia/Legacy.
The 1986 John Hughes film Pretty in Pink was inspired by and named for the song of the same name from this album. The song itself was re-recorded for the film by the Furs' 1984–85 line-up—Richard and Tim Butler, John Ashton, and drummer Keith Forsey (and also featured Mars Williams on saxophone). This version appears on the movie soundtrack and the UK CD version of the Midnight to Midnight album.
The album was reissued on vinyl in the UK in 2011 without bonus content.
All songs written by Richard Butler, John Ashton, Roger Morris, Tim Butler, Duncan Kilburn and Vince Ely.

Talk Talk were an English new wave group, active from 1981 until their breakup in 1992. Their hit singles include "Today", "Talk Talk" (1981), "It's My Life" (1984), "Such a Shame" (1984), and "Dum Dum Girl" (1984). Talk Talk moved away from synthpop towards more experimental music in the mid-1980s. A few more singles, including "Life's What You Make It" (1985/1986) and "Living in Another World" (1986), achieved success in Europe and in the UK.
Friction with the band's label, EMI, resulted in legal action and countersuing. The band switched to Polydor for their final album, 1991's Laughing Stock, but the band broke up soon afterwards. Singer Mark Hollis released one solo album in 1998 before retiring from the music industry. Founding bass player and drummer Paul Webb and Lee Harris played in a couple of bands together; de facto fourth member Tim Friese-Greene continued in the business as a musician and producer.
Talk Talk began as a quartet consisting of Mark Hollis formerly from The Reaction (vocals/main songwriter), Lee Harris (drums), Paul Webb (bass guitar), and Simon Brenner (keyboards). In their early years they were often compared with Duran Duran. In addition to a band name consisting of a repeated word, the two shared a Roxy Music-inspired musical direction, as well as the same record label (EMI) and producer (Colin Thurston). The band also supported Duran Duran on tour in late 1981.
"Talk Talk" is the debut single of the American garage rock band, The Music Machine. The song was released in November 1966, and produced the band's only Top 20 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. It was then included on their debut album, (Turn On) The Music Machine. Their single was one of the earliest examples of protopunk.
The Music Machine was practicing the song before any interest from record producers. Sean Bonniwell strived to perfect the sound he had been experimenting with in preparation for a record deal. The band regularly played at an American Legion bowling alley in Los Angeles. Bonniwell was originally involved in the folk rock scene, but he wanted to create a harder sound or as he stated "something completely unique". To create his designed sound, Bonniwell had the band tune their instruments from the typical E to the D flat, creating a heavy, atonal effect. Bassist, Keith Olsen, utilized a fuzz box to produce the song's signature bassline, which was backed by Mark Landon's wiry guitar playing. This new way of playing caught the attention of record producer, Brian Ross, who brought them into studios to record a single.
Talk Talk is a novel by T. C. Boyle first published in 2006, about a young deaf woman who becomes the victim of a credit card fraud and identity theft. As the police are unwilling to help, the woman and her boyfriend are determined to track down the criminal themselves.
Dana Halter is an American woman in her early thirties who at the age of four suffered an infection which left her profoundly deaf. Since then, she has been able to master her life astonishingly well: she has acquired an academic degree and teaches at a school for the deaf in San Roque, likely analogous to Santa Barbara, California. Her boyfriend, Bridger Martin, is a "hearie", a man a few years younger than herself who creates special effects for the film industry. Out of love, Martin has gone to great lengths to accommodate her disability. For example, he has taken a course in sign language to be able to communicate with her as best as possible.
William "Peck" Wilson is an American raised in Peterskill, New York who is angry with society for failing him. Once a promising young restaurateur, he enters into a sour marriage, has a child with his wife, becomes dependent on his father-in-law's money, and is eventually dumped by his wife. Subsequently, his life takes a turn for the worse, he has to serve a short prison sentence. When he is released from jail, he moves to Marin County, California, takes up a criminal career of stealing others' identities and spending these identities' money to furnish his elaborate tastes.

Hey hey hey
What did I tell you before when I was up
Anxiety was bringing me down
I'm tired of listening to you talking in rhymes
Twisting round to make me think you're straight down the line
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk
talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
If every sign that I see is complete
Then I'm a fool in your game
And all you want to do is tell me your lies
Won't show the other side you're just wasting my time
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
When every choice that I make is yours
Keep telling me what's right and what's wrong
Don't you ever stop to think about me
I'm not that blind to see that you've been cheating on me
And here you laugh at me when I'm up
I see you when you're crying for me when I'm down
I see you when you're laughing at me when I'm up
I see you when you're crying for me
All you do
to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
All you do to me is talk talk
Talk talk talk talk
