Taiko

Taiko (太鼓^?) are a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments. In Japanese, the term refers to any kind of drum, but outside Japan, it is used to refer to any of the various Japanese drums called wadaiko (和太鼓, "Japanese drums") and to the form of ensemble taiko drumming more specifically called kumi-daiko (組太鼓, "set of drums"). The process of constructing taiko varies between manufacturers, and preparation of both the drum body and skin can take several years depending on methodology.

Taiko have a mythological origin in Japanese folklore, but historical records suggest that taiko were introduced to Japan through Korean and Chinese cultural influence as early as the 6th century CE. Some taiko are similar to instruments originating from India. Archaeological evidence also supports that taiko were present in Japan during the 6th century in the Kofun period. Their function has varied through history, ranging from communication, military action, theatrical accompaniment, and religious ceremony to both festival and concert performances. In modern times, taiko have also played a central role in social movements for minorities both within and outside Japan.

Camacho (wrestler)

Tevita Fifita (born May 7, 1983) is a Tongan-American professional wrestler better known by his ring name Micah while his status with TNA is unknown. He is best known for working for WWE under the name Camacho between 2011 and 2014. He previously worked in WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, under the name Donny Marlow where he was a one-time FCW Florida Tag Team Champion with CJ Parker. Part of a large wrestling family, he is the cousin of Bad Luck Fale, adoptive brother of Tama Tonga, and the son of Haku.

Early years

Born in Kissimmee, Florida, Fifita attended the University of Texas at El Paso [UTEP], where he played football as a defensive end. And graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts with major in Communications Electronic Media and minor in criminal justice.

Florida Championship Wrestling (2009–2011)

On February 10, 2009, Fifita signed a developmental contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was assigned to its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) as "Tonga". In March, he became known as Agent T., as part of Washington's Secret Service stable alongside Agent D. and Agent C, He later changed his name to Donny Marlow. On July 21, 2011, Marlow and CJ Parker defeated Calvin Raines and Big E. Langston to win the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship. On November 3, Marlow and Parker lost the Tag Team Championship to Brad Maddox and Briley Pierce.

She Came Home for Christmas is a song by the Danish band Mew. The song originally appeared on the album A Triumph For Man in 1997, but was later re-released on the album Frengers in 2003. The song was released as a single in Denmark and the United Kingdom multiple times between 1997 and 2003.

MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A

MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence A (MICA) is a cell surface glycoprotein encoded by the MICA gene located within MHC locus. MICA is related to MHC class I and has similar domain structure, which is made up of external α1α2α3 domain, transmembrane segment and C-terminal cytoplasmic tail. However, MICA is not associated with β2-microglobulin nor binds peptides as conventional MHC class I molecules do. MICA rather functions as a stress-induced ligand for NKG2D receptor. For example, the heat shock stress pathway is involved in the regulation of MICA expression as transcription of MICA is regulated by promoter heat shock element. MICA is broadly recognized by NK cells, γδ T cells, and CD8⁺ αβ T cells which carry NKG2D receptor on their cell surface. As a result of NKG2D-MICA engagement, effector cytolytic responses of T cells and NK cells against epithelial tumor cells expressing MICA are initiated.

Chi (Italian for "Who") is an Italian weekly gossip magazine geared towards a female viewership published in Milan, Italy.

History and profile

Chi was established in 1995. The magazine, published weekly, is based in Segrate, Milan, Italy and its publisher is Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. The company is headed by Marina Berlusconi, Silvio Berlusconi’s older daughter. Alfonso Signorini is the editor of the weekly.

In 2004 the circulation of Chi was 524,482 copies. The magazine had a circulation of 503,984 copies in 2007. In 2010 its circulation was 403,599 copies.

Photo of Princess Diana

The magazine came under criticism for publishing a picture of Princess Diana, taken as she was dying. The photo, which is black-and-white, depicts Diana receiving oxygen in the wreckage of the vehicle in which she died on 31 August 1997. The picture, which was also run with black bars across the Princess's face in the British newspaper The Sun, was taken from the book Lady Diana : L'enquete criminelle by Jean-Michel Caradec'h. Despite the criticism, the editor of the magazine defended their decision to publish it.
