Sybil Elgar (10 June 1914 – 8 January 2007), was a pioneer in the education and care of both children and adults with autism. She was a founding member of the British National Autistic Society, and she was awarded member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1975. She died on the 8th of January 2007, aged 92.
