It took place in Båstad, Sweden, from July 6 through July 14, 2013 for the Men's tournament and from July 13 through July 21, 2013 for the Women's tournament. It was also known as the 2013 SkiStar Swedish Open for the Men's and the 2013 Collector Swedish Open for the Women's for sponsorship reasons. It was the 66th edition for the Men's and the 5th edition for the Women's.

The SkiStar Swedish Open (or Swedish Open Båstad) is an ATP World Tour 250 series tennis tournament on the ATP Tour held in Båstad, Sweden in July each year.
The Collector Swedish Open Women is a tennis tournament held in Båstad, Sweden. Held since 2009, as the successor to the Nordea Nordic Light Open in Stockholm, this WTA Tour event is an international-level tournament and is played on outdoor clay courts.
The Swedish Open was first held in 1948 when it was called the International Swedish Hard Court Championships. Between 1970 and 1989 the men's event was part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit and a Grand Prix Super Series event (1970-72).
The first three tournaments were won by Eric Sturgess from South Africa. Other famous champions include Ilie Năstase (1971), Björn Borg (1974, 1978–1979) and Mats Wilander (1982–1983, 1985). The stadium in which the tournament is held underwent reconstruction in 2002 to accommodate the new hotel underneath the seaside bleachers. The stadium is a few hundred yards from the Båstad beach and is very close to Pepe's Bodega, the local restaurant and nightclub.
The Swedish Open is a squash tournament held in Linkoping, Sweden in February. It is part of the PSA World Tour. The event has been played since the middle of the seventies.
The Swedish Open was an open badminton tournament that was annually held from 1956 to 1999 after which the organizer, Svenska Badmintonförbundet, could no longer find a suitable sponsor. To some extent it has been replaced by the Swedish International Stockholm tournament.
