Swathi Muthu is a 2003 released Kannada film which was directed by D. Rajendra Babu and written by K. Vishwanath. This film starred Sudeep and Meena in the lead roles.[1]
This film is a remake of superhit Telugu film Swati Mutyam (1986) which starred Kamal Haasan and Raadhika in lead roles.[2]

A small village. And in that lives Shivanna, a simpleton with a golden heart. He finds his joy in the joy of others and cannot bear to see anyone in sorrow. And, he would do anything to see them happy again. A widow, Lalitha arrives in the village with her little son. Their difficulties and misery immediately catch his attention. He is deeply pained by their sorrows. Shivanna (Sudeep) determines that he would do everything he can to ease their sorrows. He even walks on fire when he overhears someone say that it brings good fortune. He hears his granny saying that only marriage can bring back the happiness into Lalitha’s life. So he promptly marries her, in the hope that it will bring back a smile to her face. Soon his granny dies and he is forced to leave the village with Lalitha (Meena) and her son. Lalitha gets a job with the help of her old music teacher. Slowly, Shivanna learns to take up responsibilities of a family and even starts working. But he never loses his simplicity, the capability to love and forgive everyone unconditionally that charms everyone he meets.

Swathi is an Indian film actress who has appeared in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. She is probably best known for her performances in Deva and Vaanmathi.
After the success of Vaanmathi, Swathi returned to Hyderabad to complete her education and turned down film offers.
After a break, she returned to play a supporting role in Ameer's Yogi.
She was engaged to a Dubai-based entrepreneur, Srikanth, in 2008 but the wedding was later called off. Swathi later got married to a company director, Kiran on 2 December 2009 at Maruthi Gardens, Red Hills in Hyderabad and subsequently announced her retirement from films.

A kind-hearted Zamindar (Rajinikanth) lived with his sister-in-law and cousin Rajasekhar (Raghuvaran), helping people incessantly. His sister-in-law has a son, to whom the Zamindar bequeaths a major portion of his property. At this juncture, a new baby is born to the Zamindar. His wife dies soon after. Brother Rajasekhar cheats the Zamindar as he fears that his son's property might be taken back and given to the Zamindar's own son. When the cheating comes to light, the Zamindar hands over all his property and his baby to his sister-in-law and brother and goes to the Himalayas, making his sister-in-law promise him that the baby should be brought up as a servant, not as a Zamindar. This baby is named Muthu (also Rajinikanth).
