Supernova (Chilean band)

Supernova were a Chilean pop band integrated by three girls and was created by Koko Stambuk and Cristian Heyne, influenced by American teen pop of the 90's.

Between 1999 and 2001, Supernova was integrated by Constanza "Coni" Lewin, Elisa Montes and Consuelo "Chi-K" Edwards, and from 2001 to 2003 by Claudia González, Constanza "Koni" Lüer and Sabina Odone. Both groups of girls only recorded one studio album, the first one was Supernova which sold 45,000 copies, and achieving Double Platinum, and the second was Retráctate this one was a Latin Grammy nominee for Best Pop Vocal Album, Duo or Group.

Several times the original group perdormed live on Blondie Discothèque and in 2010 the group returned for a mini tour.

Supernova (Mr Hudson song)

"Supernova" is a song by British singer Mr Hudson with American hip hop artist Kanye West, who is featured on the song. "Supernova" was premiered on 13 May 2009, on Zane Lowe BBC Radio Show and then released through Mr Hudson's and Kanye West's blogs. The song was later remixed by Calvin Harris in a more electronic fashion. After being officially released as a single on 19 July, it promptly debuted high on European charts.

Release

"Supernova" was released to iTunes on 19 July 2009 after being able to pre-order throughout the previous week.

Chart performance

On the Irish Singles Chart, "Supernova" debuted in the top ten, entering at number seven on the issue date of 23 July 2009. The song was the highest debut on the chart for that week. The following week it rose to number four, and peaked at number two. It performed even better in Hudson's native United Kingdom, where it debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart on 26 July 2009 (for the week ending date 1 August 2009)

Supernova (Today Is the Day album)

Supernova is the debut studio album by the American noisegrind band Today Is the Day, released on April 1993 by Amphetamine Reptile Records.

Reception

Patrick Kennedy of allmusic awarded it 4 and a half out of 5 stars, hailing it as a "landmark recording" that "indicates that metal could indeed be far more than a simple, formulaic system of chugging riffs, screamed vocals, and stampeding drums."

List of Transformers: Cybertron episodes

The following is a list of episodes in the Transformers series, Transformers: Cybertron. It chronicles the adventures of the Autobots, as they battle the Decepticons and attempt to claim the four Cyber Planet Keys.

The series uses four pieces of theme music. For the first twenty-seven episodes of the series "Call You - Kimi to Boku no Mirai [The Future of You and I]" by Shinji Kakijima is used for the opening theme and "Itsumo" by Tomoka Issei is used for the ending theme. The remaining episodes use "Ignition!" by CHINO for the opening theme and "Growing Up" by Shinji Kakijima for the Ending theme. In the English dub of the series, all of the original ending themes are removed, with the song "Transformers: Cybertron Theme" by Paul Oakenfold used for both the opening and ending in all episodes.

Haven (Dark Tranquillity album)

Haven is the fifth full-length studio album released by the band Dark Tranquillity in 2000.

This release is the first with Michael Nicklasson & Martin Brändström as new members and the first release with Martin Henriksson on guitar since switching from bass. There is a misconception of the three from this recording lineup as starting out on Projector (See Projector for clarifacation). Although not having a lot to do with the release, it still marked the second and last time a current member (Henriksson) switched their roles in the band permanently (The first was on "Promo '94" where ex-guitarist Mikael Stanne became the vocalist). This is also the last release with the contribution of ex-member Anders Fridén with the band.

Style

The band managed to advance the musical changes started on their previous album with a mix of melody and electronic pads, especially having now constant keyboards to their music. The clean vocal style went into hiatus but Stanne has brought it back into some Dark Tranquillity songs, though, as heard on the band's catalog from 2007 onward.

Haven (film)

Haven is a 2004 feature film set in the Cayman Islands, a British offshore financial centre. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2004. It is written and directed by native Caymanian Frank E. Flowers and filmed entirely in the 100-square-mile (260 km²) West Indian dependency.

Haven is an ensemble film in which unconnected lives intersect and result in a violent chain of events that turns tranquility into chaos. It was released in limited theaters in the United States on September 15, 2006.

The film's tagline was, "Can love survive the fall of paradise?"

Plot

A corrupt and greedy businessman, Carl Ridley (Bill Paxton), is running from the government, with his 18-year-old daughter Pippa (Agnes Bruckner) in tow. Pippa is not happy to leave her friends and comfortable life in Miami for the Cayman Islands.

Arriving in the islands, Ridley is preoccupied. Banks are rapidly closing and he must find a clean place to store his stolen money. Meanwhile, Pippa finds native Caymanian Fritz (Victor Rasuk) sleeping off a late night in her bed. He flees out the window, leaving his wallet behind. She later finds Fritz on the beach to return his wallet and befriends him, in spite of his ridiculous come-on attempts.
