Catch 22 Live

Live! is Catch 22's first full-length live release, although fan-recorded live tracks were bonus features on several previous albums. Roughly a third of the album is devoted to Keasbey Nights, another third to Alone in a Crowd, and the remainder to Dinosaur Sounds. A bonus DVD includes footage from the concert, as well as a variety of extras. However, former frontman Tomas Kalnoky is conspicuously absent from the footage of the band's early days.

Also following this album, Ciarán Bourke ceased to be a full-time member of the group when he suffered a brain hemorrhage. He sings "All for Me Grog" here. The reels that open this album (and which first were released on the group's 1967 studio album A Drop of the Hard Stuff) have become the opening instrumental medley at most of their concerts since.

  • Live (Jake Shimabukuro album)

Live is Jake Shimabukuro's 2009 solo album. It was released in April 2009, and consists of live in-concert performances from various venues around the world, including New York, Chicago, Japan, and Hawaii.

Live peaked at number 5 in Billboard's Top World Music Albums in 2009 and 2010. The album won the 2010 Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Instrumental Album of the Year, and also garnered Shimabukuro the award for Favorite Entertainer of the Year. In addition, it won the 2010 Hawaii Music Award for Best Ukulele Album.

AllMusic noted that, "Shimabukuro is a monster musician and boldly takes the ukulele where no ukulele has ever gone before, dazzling listeners with his blinding speed, melodic invention, and open-ended improvisations of remarkable virtuosity. Before Shimabukuro, the idea of spending an evening listing to a solo ukulele player was probably most people's idea of hell, but the 17 solo efforts here never bore. They show Shimabukuro's range and his humor as well."

    Supernatural

The supernatural (Medieval Latin: supernātūrālis: supra "above" + naturalis "natural", first used: 1520–1530 AD) is that which is not subject to the laws of physics or, more figuratively, that which is said to exist above and beyond nature.

    Views

The metaphysical considerations of the existence of the supernatural can be difficult to approach as an exercise in philosophy or theology because any dependencies on its antithesis, the natural, will ultimately have to be inverted or rejected.

One complicating factor is that there is disagreement about the definition of "natural" and the limits of naturalism. Concepts in the supernatural domain are closely related to concepts in religious spirituality and occultism or spiritualism.

The term "supernatural" is often used interchangeably with paranormal or preternatural — the latter typically limited to an adjective for describing abilities which appear to exceed the bounds of possibility.Epistemologically, the relationship between the supernatural and the natural is indistinct in terms of natural phenomena that, ex hypothesi, violate the laws of nature, in so far as such laws are realistically accountable.

    Supernatural (U.S. TV series)

Supernatural is an American fantasy horror television series created by Eric Kripke. It was first broadcast on September 13, 2005, on The WB and subsequently became part of successor The CW's lineup. Starring Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester and Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, the series follows the two brothers as they hunt demons, ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings in the world. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television, in association with Wonderland Sound and Vision. Along with Kripke, executive producers have been McG, Robert Singer, Phil Sgriccia, Sera Gamble, Jeremy Carver, John Shiban, Ben Edlund and Adam Glass. Former executive producer and director Kim Manners died of lung cancer during production of the fourth season.

The series is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia and surrounding areas and was in development for nearly ten years, as creator Kripke spent several years unsuccessfully pitching it. The pilot was viewed by an estimated 5.69 million viewers, and the ratings of the first four episodes prompted The WB to pick up the series for a full season. Originally, Kripke planned the series for three seasons but later expanded it to five. The fifth season concluded the series' main storyline, and Kripke departed the series as showrunner. The series has continued on for several more seasons with Sera Gamble and Jeremy Carver assuming the role of showrunner. The series was renewed for an eleventh season, which premiered on October 7, 2015. With its eleventh season, Supernatural became the longest-running North American science-fiction series (surpassing Smallville, which has 218 episodes).

    Supernatural (Des'ree album)

Supernatural is the third studio album by British recording artist Des'ree. Released by 550 Music and Epic Records on 11 August 1998, it follows four years after the singer's previous album, I Ain't Movin'. Predominantly an R&B album, Supernatural received mixed to positive reviews from critics, who praised Des'ree's voice, but noted that the album lacked memorable songs. The album appeared on several record charts, reaching the top ten in Austria and the Netherlands, and the top twenty in Flanders, France, Norway, Sweden and the UK.

"Life" was released as the lead single from Supernatural, although "I'm Kissing You" was used as the soundtrack single for the 1996 film Romeo + Juliet. "Life" charted well, topping the singles charts of Austria and the Netherlands.

    Background

Des'ree's previous album, I Ain't Movin', was released in 1994. Its lead single, "You Gotta Be", was a hit in the United States, reaching number five on the Billboard Hot 100. The singer took a four-year break before releasing Supernatural, which she said made her nervous. "But I said to myself, 'I'd rather have that absence and come out with a stunning record than feel the pressure to come out with something earlier and the record be mediocre.'" Polly Anthony, president of 550 Music, said that the record label had been "patiently waiting" for Supernatural, and was comfortable with artists working within their own timeframes.

    Supernatural Love

    by: Donna Summer

    We were strangers
    who one were lovers
    we've been everlasting friends
    I was shattered
    when you walked out, boy
I was walking off the edge
Friends, said I looked so down-hearted
    when you left
now my broken heart is stable
    I'm starting to mend
got you back and I'm living again
    Oh, this must be love
that sets my soul on fire
    a supernatural love
    (this must be)
that makes my flame burn higher
    a supernatural love
Life was only tear drops falling down
    from my eyes
now my broken heart is stable
    oh, I'm coming alive
    I can't fight what I'm feeling inside
    This must be love
that sets my soul on fire
    a supernatural love
    (oh, this must be)
that makes my flame burn higher
    a supernatural love
    that gets me so excited
    a supernatural love
    (oh, this must be)
    that makes us true survivors
    a supernatural love
Friends, said I looked so down-hearted
    when, when you left
now my broken heart is stable
    I'm starting to mend
got you back and I'm living again
    Oh, this must be love
that sets my soul on fire
    a supernatural love
