Super Show

The Super Show was the first Asia-wide live concert tour by South Korean boy band, Super Junior. The tour commenced five months after the release of the group's second studio album, Don't Don. The concert covers most songs from the group's first two studio albums, including their hit single, "U," and also subgroup hits from Super Junior-K.R.Y., Super Junior-T, and Super Junior-M. The tour kicked off with three stops in South Korea and expanded its routes to Thailand and China.

History

The Super Show Tour is the first Asia-wide concert tour by Super Junior since their debut in November 2005. The tour was first announced in January, four months after the release of their second studio album, Don't Don. 13,000 tickets for the concert in Seoul, South Korea were placed for auction online on January 22, 2008. As soon as the auction began at 5:00 PM, over 120,000 fans simultaneously loaded onto the site and crashed the server. As soon as the server was back in commission, all 13,000 tickets were sold out in 18 minutes. A second ticket auction occurred on January 28 at 8:00 PM for the remaining seats and was just as successful. Due to the success of the sales, he organizers decided to add an extra show on February 22, and the corresponding tickets were all sold out in five minutes.

Super Show (album)

Super Show - Super Junior The 1st Asia Tour Concert Album is the first live album of South Korean boy band Super Junior. It was released on 19 May 2008 by SM Entertainment. The songs in this album are direct recordings from their concerts at the Olympic Fencing Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea from 22 to 24 February, the first stop of their Super Show. It was also released in Taiwan by Avex Taiwan on 27 June 2008. It debuted at number one on Taiwan's G-Music Weekly G-Music J-Pop/K-Pop Chart with a percentage sales of 27.58%.

Super Show 4

Super Show 4 is the first live world concert tour and fourth international tour by South Korean boy band Super Junior, in support of their fifth studio album, Mr. Simple. The world tour commenced with two shows in Seoul in November 2011 and continued onto Japan, Taiwan, China, other Asian countries, and France.

On 28 June 2013, a live album, Super Show 4 Concert Album, of the concert held in Seoul was released. On 8 August 2013, a 3D film of the Seoul concert was released in 30 theaters across South Korea. The 3D concert movie play out Super Junior’s Super Show 4 concert, part of its world tour that was held in May of 2012 at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

Concerts

The two concerts in Osaka were played to a total audience of 80,000 people. In February, the group set records for the fastest selling concert in Taiwan and also the first overseas artist to hold four consecutive concerts at the Taipei Arena. In March, the group became the first Korean singers to hold two consecutive concerts in Macau, and broke the record for the biggest concert audience in Thailand, with 40,000 people. The French and Indonesian legs of the tour also marks the group's first solo concert in Paris, and Jakarta.

Super Show 5

Super Show 5 is the second world concert tour and fifth international tour by South Korean boy band Super Junior, in support of their sixth studio album, Sexy, Free & Single. The world tour commenced with two shows in Seoul in March 2013 and will continue onto South America, North America and Europe.

This tour marks the return of member Kangin, who was discharged from mandatory military service in April 2012, and the first one since Super Show 2 in 2009. However it is the second tour without Heechul, since Super Show 3, who enlisted in September 2011 and the first without leader Leeteuk, since Super Show 4, who enlisted on 30 October 2012.

Concerts

On day two of the Seoul concerts, the nine members held a press conference at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena. Shindong said "the level of participation on our part was the highest in this concert. Our opinions were actively taken into account from choosing solo and group performances to picking stage costumes". Eunhyuk further explained "We participated in picking songs, organizing stages and choosing costumes", and that their agency took in their opinions. He added that they thought of fans who come to the show every year and decided to perform songs they have not done before. Former SM Entertainment and S.E.S. member Bada made a surpirse appearance during Ryeowook's solo stage where he impersonated her.

Super Show 5 (album)

Super Show 5 - Super Junior World Tour Concert Album is Super Junior's fifth live recorded album, released on 6 November 2015. This album contains two CDs with 31 live recordings from the Super Show 5 concerts held on March 23–24, 2013 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena located in Seoul, South Korea.
