Win (film)

Win is a romance thriller trilingual film directed in three languages Hindi, Telugu & Tamil and written by Vinod Kumar assisisted by Sudarshanan. Director Vinod Kumar is making his first directorial debut. The film will be released under the banner of Rahmath Productions in Telugu & Jai Balaji Movie Makers in Tamil. The film will feature Jai Akash alongside Angel Jitendra, Kavya, Nikita, Kousalya, Dinesh Nair, S. Ve. Sheker, Ganja Karuppu, and various others. Background score and soundtrack are composed by U. K. Murali audio is released in Telugu on 28 March 2013. For the first time ever we have three music directors Shankar Ganesh, Deva, A. R. Reihana singing a song together for another music composer for this film. Shooting for the film will be finished October 2013, and post-production works are also currently going on at Chennai & Hyderabad.

Win (band)

Win were a Scottish pop band from the 1980s.

After the dissolution of The Fire Engines, Davy Henderson formed Win with Ian Stoddart (Bass), ex-Fire Engine Russell Burn (Drums/Keyboards), Emmanuel "Mani" Shoniwa (Guitar/Bass), Simon Smeeton (Guitar/Bass) and Willie Perry (Keyboards) in 1983. A more determinedly pop act than The Fire Engines, they were commercially successful in Scotland, partly due to their single "You've Got the Power" being used in a lager advertising campaign for Scottish brewers McEwan's. But they were unable to translate that into more widespread success and break through further afield. They released two albums and disbanded in 1990. Henderson went to working with his new band The Nectarine No. 9, releasing records on the revived Postcard label, Creeping Bent and Beggars' Banquet, later worked with The Sexual Objects. Willie Perry and Ian Stoddart went on to form The Apples with Callum McNair. Mani Shoniwa formed Yoyo Honey, releasing the album Voodoo Soul in 1992.

Pravadoline

Pravadoline (WIN 48,098) is an antiinflammatory and analgesic drug with an IC50 of 4.9 µM and a K_i of 2511nM at CB₁, related in structure to non-steroidal antinflammtory drugs (NSAIDs) such as indometacin. It was developed in the 1980s as a new antiinflammatory and prostaglandin synthesis inhibitor, acting through inhibition of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX).

However, pravadoline was found to exhibit unexpectedly strong analgesic effects, which appeared at doses ten times smaller than the effective anti-inflammatory dose and so could not be explained by its action as a COX inhibitor. These effects were not blocked by opioid antagonists such as naloxone, and it was eventually discovered that pravadoline represented the first compound from a novel class of cannabinoid agonists, the aminoalkylindoles.

Pravadoline was never developed for use as an analgesic, partly due to toxicity concerns (although these were later shown to be a result of the salt form that the drug had been prepared in rather than from the pravadoline itself), however the discovery of cannabinoid activity in this structurally novel family of drugs led to the discovery of several new cannabinoid agonists, including the drug WIN 55,212-2, which is now widely used in scientific research.

Super æ

Super æ (sometimes written as Super Ae or Super Are) is the fifth full-length album by Boredoms, released in 1998. It was named the 44th greatest album of the 1990s by Pitchfork Media.

The song "Super Coming" is an extended and redone version of "Mogo?" from the Wow 2 album.

The correct pronunciation of the album's title is often debated, although according to The New Yorker's pop-music critic Sasha Frere-Jones, group frontman Yamantaka Eye has stated that the correct articulation of the "æ" symbol is simply "ah" or "ugh".

Super (2010 American film)

Super is a 2010 American superhero dark comedy-drama film written and directed by James Gunn, starring Rainn Wilson, Ellen Page, Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon and Nathan Fillion. The film premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in theaters in the United States on April 1, 2011 and on video on demand on April 13, 2011. The film was released unrated in U.S. theaters, and later received an R rating for its DVD/Blu-ray release.

Plot

Short-order cook Frank Darbo (Rainn Wilson) says in voice-over that he has only two good memories from a disappointing life: marrying his beautiful wife, Sarah (Liv Tyler), and an incident in which he directed a police officer to catch a purse snatcher. Frank immortalizes these two events in a pair of crayon drawings that he hangs on his wall for inspiration.

Later, Sarah, a recovering addict, leaves Frank for Jacques (Kevin Bacon), a charismatic strip club owner who gets her hooked on drugs. Frank sinks into depression, where he has a vision in which he is touched by the finger of God and meets the Holy Avenger (Nathan Fillion), a superhero from a public-access television show on the All-Jesus Network, who tells Frank that God has chosen him for a very special purpose. Frank believes that God has chosen him to become a superhero and goes to a local comic book store for inspiration. His claim that he is designing a new superhero is met with enthusiastic appreciation from the foul-mouthed store clerk, Libby (Ellen Page). Frank creates a superhero costume and assumes the identity of "The Crimson Bolt."

.45 Super

The .45 Super is a large and powerful smokeless powder center fire metallic firearm cartridge developed in 1988 by Dean Grennell, a well-known writer in the firearms field as well as managing editor of Gun World magazine. Born of a desire to update and improve the 1906 era .45 ACP, the .45 Super cartridge is dimensionally identical with the older .45 ACP round. A notable difference is that it has a thicker case wall than its ACP brethren cartridge, and the Super is loaded to higher pressures, which makes it a substantially more powerful round than the standard .45 ACP. It offers an average 300 foot per second (ft/s) improvement in muzzle velocity. The cartridge was co-developed by Tom Fergerson and Ace Hindman.
