Sunset (True Blood)

Sunset is the eleventh episode of the HBO TV series True Blood's fifth season, while the 59th episode overall. The episode is followed by Save Yourself and is preceded by Gone, Gone, Gone. The episode has better reviews and viewers than all of the episodes of its season, except for the season premiere, Turn, Turn, Turn, which so far has the most positive reviews and viewers.

Plot

Sookie and Jason

Sookie hides at the faeries' club, while Jason is warned by Jessica that Russell is coming for Sookie. Jason is glamored into revealing the hideout of the faeries by Russell and Steve, resulting in the faerie elder going to confront the vampires, but she is killed, leaving the club vulnerable.

Bill and Eric

Bill is "chosen" by Lilith to drink all of her blood, however, she then says this to Salome and others in the Authority to turn them against each other. Nora visits Eric and they have sex, after she realizes Eric is right, and decides to help him in saving the Authority and Bill. Meanwhile, Bill, who is preparing to drink Lilith's blood, kills a fellow vampire for the blood. Afterward, the Authority are visited by an Army General, who states he has footage of Steve Newlin and Russell Edgington, while then stating he needs to speak to Roman. Bill reveals they killed Roman, Eric kills the man, as Eric and Nora prepare to glamour people into forgetting the man while Bill decides to destroy all copies of the tape.

The 'Sunset' mango is a named mango cultivar that originated in southwest Florida.

History

The original tree was grown from a seed planted in the grove of Frank Adams in Pine Island, Florida. The variety was considered to have potential and a grafted tree was planted at the Sub-Tropical Research Station in Homestead, Florida in 1947. For decades the parentage of 'Sunset' was unknown, however a 2005 pedigree analysis estimated that 'Sunset' was a cross between the 'Haden' and 'Amini' cultivars.

'Sunset' did not become a popular commercial or nurserystock tree. Nevertheless, 'Sunset' trees are part of the collections of the USDA's germplasm repository in Miami, Florida and the Miami-Dade Fruit and Spice Park in Homestead, Florida. Recently, 'Sunset' garnered some attention when it was one of several varieties offered for public tasting at the 2010 International Mango festival at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

DNA analysis has indicated that 'Sunset' is likely one of the parents of the 'Maha Chanok' mango.

Red (T'Pau album)

Red is the fourth studio album by British pop/rock group T'Pau. It was released in 1998, and was the first album since The Promise from 1991.

The group originally gained success in the late 1980s and split in the early 1990s. In 1997 original lead singer Carol Decker reformed the band with a completely new line-up and released a brand new version of their original hit "Heart and Soul". The new line-up started playing gigs and recorded this album in 1998. The album was released on Decker's own Gnatfish label, and would be released in America during late 1999 with a bonus CD featuring three extra tracks (including the 1997 version of "Heart and Soul"). In 2007, the album was officially released for download. It would be Decker's last album/single release until the 2007 solo single "Just Dream".

Background

After the original split of T'Pau, Decker attempted a solo career. In 1993, she contributed a track to the soundtrack of the film Dirty Weekend, and the following year a small number of live performances followed. In 1995 she released the single "One Heart" - as the official anthem for the Halifax World Cup Rugby League Centenary '95. It peaked at #130 in the UK. She performed the song at Wembley Stadium during the opening and closing ceremonies. By 1997 though, Decker had taken the decision to build a 'new' T'Pau around her, and get back on the road after assembling a massive amount of new material. Although she considered continuing as a solo artist, it was advised that it would be easier if the band name was rekindled. The newly reformed band featured none of the original members aside from Decker. A brand new version of the band's original hit "Heart and Soul" was released as "Heart and Soul '97" (featuring the future Red album track "Make Love to Me"), and the band went onto Cilla Black's Surprise Surprise TV show to perform the song. However it was not a commercial success.
