Numeral (linguistics)

In linguistics, a numeral is a member of a word class (or sometimes even a part of speech) designating numbers, such as the English word 'two' and the compound 'seventy-seven'.

Identifying numerals

Numerals may be attributive, as in two dogs, or pronominal, as in I saw two (of them).

Many words of different parts of speech indicate number or quantity. Quantifiers do not enumerate, or designate a specific number, but give another, often less specific, indication of amount. Examples are words such as every, most, least, some, etc. There are also number words which enumerate but are not a distinct part of speech, such as 'dozen', which is a noun, 'first', which is an adjective, or 'twice', which is an adverb. Numerals enumerate, but in addition have distinct grammatical behavior: when a numeral modifies a noun, it may replace the article: the/some dogs played in the park → twelve dogs played in the park. (Note that *dozen dogs played in the park is not grammatical, so 'dozen' is not a numeral.)

Gonzalo Barrios (esports player)

Gonzalo Barrios (born April 17, 1995), known by his gamertag ZeRo, is a Chilean professional Super Smash Bros. player. He is considered the best Super Smash Bros. for Wii U player in the world and a top ranked Super Smash Bros. Brawl player. He mains Diddy Kong and Sheik in Super Smash Brothers for the Nintendo Wii U, and mained Pit in Project M, Meta Knight in Brawl, and Fox in Melee.

Career

Barrios has had "ZeRo" as his gamertag since 2005. He has been playing Smash since Super Smash Bros. in 1999. He started to travel and play in Melee tournaments in a local Akiba Game Store in early 2007. ZeRo quit Smash completely until December of 2010 and then focused only on Brawl.

ZeRo placed second in Brawl at Apex 2014, losing to Nairo and was the champion of the Smash Wii U at Apex 2015. He defeated Dabuz, who was playing Captain Olimar, in the finals. ZeRo qualified for the MLG Anaheim 2014 championship bracket and finished 17th. ZeRo was ranked in 2014 by Melee it on Me as the 35th best Melee player in the world.

The Cataracs

The Cataracs was an American hip hop indie-pop production project (formerly duo) formed in Berkeley, California consisting of songwriter, vocalist, and producer Niles "Cyranizzy" Hollowell-Dhar (born 6 October 1988), and formerly songwriter and vocalist David "Campa" Benjamin Singer-Vine (born 1987). The duo started out as an independent group, during their years at Berkeley High School. The two were first signed to the label Indie-Pop. Singer-Vine left the group in August 2012 with Hollowell-Dhar continuing on with the name The Cataracs despite David's departure. Hollowell-Dhar also released materials starting 2014, under the name of KSHMR.

Biography

Early days

The duo met in their sophomore year while attending Berkeley High School. Singer-Vine was featured in a rap CD that was being passed around campus. When Dhar eventually heard the CD, he subsequently created a response. However, the “diss” response brought the two together and they soon became friends. In 2003, the two joined together to create what is now The Cataracs (named after the phrase “Who smoke ‘til your eyes get cataracts” from Snoop Dogg's song “What's my name Pt. 2”). In the summer of 2006, they released their first album, Technohop Vol. 1. In August 2006, the group joined with The Pack to make the single “Blueberry Afghani”. The song soon became a hit and was chosen as a “Download of the Week” by 106 KMEL and many music sites such as The Fader, UK’s Hip Hop Connection and XLR8R praised it.

Sunrise (Sacramento RT)

Sunrise is a side-platformed Sacramento RT light rail station in Rancho Cordova, California, United States. The station was opened on June 11, 2004, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. As part of the Gold Line, it has service to Downtown Sacramento, California State University, Sacramento, Gold River and Folsom. The station is located on Folsom Boulevard just south of Highway 50 at the intersection of Sunrise Boulevard.

Sunrise, along with Zinfandel and Cordova Town Center, opened on June 11, 2004, as part of an $89 million, 2.8-mile (4.5 km) extension of the Gold Line east of the Mather Field/Mills station. Sunrise served as the eastern terminus for the Gold Line until the extension to Historic Folsom opened on October 15, 2005. Rancho Cordova city officials have stated the establishment of the stations will help in the development of transit-oriented development/redevelopment of the Folsom corridor through the city.

Sunrise serves as a major station on the eastern section of the Gold Line. Light rail operates from this stop to downtown at 15-minute intervals during peak time periods, while trains leave Folsom at 30-minute headways during this portion of the day. Many trains end their routes at this facility, as service between Folsom and Sunrise ceases as 7:30 p.m. every evening. Additionally, connection to RT Bus Route 74 can be made, and there is a 487-space park and ride lot located at the station.

Sunrise (Sky News)

Sunrise is the breakfast programme on Sky News between 6:00am and 9:00am on weekdays and 6:00am to 10:00am on weekends. The weekday programmes are also broadcast on Pick between 6:00am and 7:00am. It was first aired in February 1989. Since March 2014, the programme has been presented with Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster. Prior to Webster's appointment on the programme, Charlotte Hawkins presented with Holmes from February 2007. On Thursday 6 March Charlotte left Sky to present ITV's new breakfast programme Good Morning Britain. On that same day, Webster announced that she was joining Holmes on the programme from the following Monday. The editions broadcast from Friday to Sunday are presented by Stephen Dixon and Gillian Joseph.

History

Since its beginning in February 1989, the programme ran from 5am to 9:30am. In 1991, it became one of only two shows across Sky's 20-year history to have its own individual graphics, the other being flagship bulletin Live at Five. These graphics were swiftly withdrawn after viewers and staff alike deemed them too gaudy. The show has used the channel's graphics ever since. It is common however for Sunrise to use a slight variation of some elements, such as in 1997, when Sunrise had its own variation on the then title sequence, and in 2005 when Sunrise used an individual variation of the Sky News globe. During 1995 and 1996, reporters such as Tim Marshall and weather presenter Jo Wheeler became regular stand-ins.
