Suki Waterhouse

Alice Suki Waterhouse (born circa 1992) is an English model and actress.

Background

Waterhouse was born in Hammersmith, London, England, and was raised in Chiswick, London, the daughter of Elizabeth, a cancer care nurse, and Norman Waterhouse, a plastic surgeon. She has a younger sister, Imogen, known as Immy, who is also a model.

Career

Modeling

Waterhouse began her modelling career after being discovered in a pub in London when she was 16. When she was 19, her first noted campaign was as a lingerie model for Marks and Spencer. She has since modelled for Alice + Olivia and Coast. In February 2013, she featured in Vogue Magazine's Today I'm Wearing feature.

She is a face of Burberry, helping launch the brand's new male fragrance in October 2013. Waterhouse has also modelled for brands like Swatch, Lucy in Disguise, H&M, Max Studio, Caterina Gatta and Pepe Jeans.

Waterhouse has appeared on the cover of British, Korean and Turkish Vogue, Tatler, British and Korean Elle as well as Lucky, L'Officiel, French Grazia and 1883 Magazine. Waterhouse has also shot editorials for Love Magazine, Velour, Stylist Magazine and Vogue Japan.

Suki: A Like Story

Suki: A Like Story (Japanese: すき。だからすき, Hepburn: Suki. Dakara Suki), is a three volume manga by Clamp. The title literally means "I like you, that's why I like you." It was published in English by TOKYOPOP (although their license has since expired).

Plot

Suki follows the story of Hinata Asahi, also known as Hina, a childlike teenager who loves teddy bears. She lives alone in her house and early in the story, her new homeroom teacher moves into the empty house next door. Shiro Asou, her new teacher, becomes her first crush and he seems to take an interest in her as well. However, this simple love story grows complicated as Shiro's interest in Hina is put into question as more sinister elements are placed in the story, all while forcing Hinata to grow up at the same time.

Hina's house is a large, two story home in a safe neighborhood. Shiro moves into the house next door to hers, to keep a watchful eye over her. Her house is (unbeknownst to her) tapped with multiple cameras and microphones, placed secretly by Shiro, to monitor Hina.

Overview
