The film Gran Torino features several characters.
Casting calls were held in Fresno, California, Detroit, Michigan, and Saint Paul, Minnesota, from which Eastwood selected ten Hmong American lead actors and supporting actors. Of them, only one was not a first time actor. Of the Hmong cast, five, including Bee Vang, one of the principal actors, were from the state of Minnesota.Ahney Her comes from Lansing, Michigan. The casting agency Pound & Mooney recruited thirty actors and over 500 extras. The firm recruited many Hmong actors from a Hmong soccer tournament in Macomb County, Michigan. Sandy Ci Moua, a Hmong actress based in the Twin Cities, assisted with the film's casting of Hmong actors.
One actor who auditioned praised how the casting avoided the typical Asian stereotypes in favor of authenticity, saying "They could have walked down Hollywood and looked for some Korean, Chinese, whatever, Asian-American actors, and say, 'Hey, can we teach you a few Hmong (words),' like they do in other movies, just mimic the words. But no, they said, 'We want real Hmong-speaking actors.' Asian Americans, we can tell, "That guy's not Chinese! That guy's not Korean!' So, stop trying to fool us."

ARC is a lossless data compression and archival format by System Enhancement Associates (SEA). It was very popular during the early days of networked dial-up BBS. The file format and the program were both called ARC. The ARC program made obsolete the previous use of a combination of the SQ program to compress files and the LU program to create .LBR archives, by combining both compression and archiving functions into a single program. Unlike ZIP, ARC is incapable of compressing entire directory trees. The format was subject to controversy in the 1980s—an important event in debates over what would later be known as open formats.
The .arc file extension is often used for several file archive-like file types. For example, the Internet Archive uses its own ARC format to store multiple web resources into a single file. The FreeArc archiver also uses .arc extension, but uses a completely different file format.
Nintendo uses an unrelated 'ARC' format for resources, such as MIDI, voice samples, or text, in GameCube and Wii games. Several unofficial extractors exist for this type of ARC file.
Sue is a common short form of the following female given names:
It is rarely used as a man's name, a notable example being Sue K. Hicks (1895-1980), American jurist, who may have inspired the song A Boy Named Sue.
Terrorize, frozen eyes
Stare deep in me
Paralyzed, inside
Death breeds on your pain
Pretty lace lie in hate
You wear my scars
Terrified, you find
That you push me too far
Your repulsiveness reminds me
Of dead flesh
Rotting corpse
The smell of your putrid fucking soul
Petrified that I decide
The moment of your death
Belongs to me, the taste is sweet
It's so unreal
Your God weeps, it bleeds
It begs for me
God is letting you recover
Welcome to my black serenade
The entrance to my hell, your pain
Scream your song, the black serenade
Live in fear, a mind insane
Voice inside my head
Your face still shows itself to me
Telling me you're dead
Staring at your lifeless body
I saw you fucking die
My mind's tearing itself apart
Screaming from the inside
Release this pain from my fucking heart
Destroy the empty shell
Smash away the haunting fear
I hate your endless stare
Watching as I fuck your corpse
Welcome to my black serenade
The entrance to my hell, your pain
Walk on through a tortured mind
You'll scream your song in time
Welcome to my black serenade
The entrance to my hell, your pain
Flesh is burnt, the black serenade
Live in fear, no coming back
Welcome to my black serenade
The entrance to my hell, your pain
Walk on through a tortured mind
You'll scream your song in time
Welcome to my black serenade
The entrance to my hell, your pain
Flesh is burnt, the black serenade
