Sunlight

Sunlight is a portion of the electromagnetic radiation given off by the Sun, in particular infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light. On Earth, sunlight is filtered through Earth's atmosphere, and is obvious as daylight when the Sun is above the horizon. When the direct solar radiation is not blocked by clouds, it is experienced as sunshine, a combination of bright light and radiant heat. When it is blocked by the clouds or reflects off other objects, it is experienced as diffused light. The World Meteorological Organization uses the term "sunshine duration" to mean the cumulative time during which an area receives direct irradiance from the Sun of at least 120 watts per square meter.

The ultraviolet radiation in sunlight has both positive and negative health effects, as it is both a principal source of vitamin D₃ and a mutagen.

Sunlight takes about 8.3 minutes to reach Earth from the surface of the Sun. A photon starting at the centre of the Sun and changing direction every time it encounters a charged particle would take between 10,000 and 170,000 years to get to the surface.

Sunshine (The Archies album)

Sunshine is the fourth studio album released by The Archies, a fictional bubblegum pop band of The Archie Show and the Archie Comics universe. The album includes 12 tracks and was issued on Kirshner Records. It was produced by Jeff Barry. The album features the single "Sunshine". The song peaked at number 57 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album peaked at number 137 on the Billboard Top LPs chart.

Sunshine (Jonathan Edwards song)

"Sunshine" is a country folk song from 1971 by Jonathan Edwards, released as the first single from his debut album Jonathan Edwards. The single reached Billboard #4 and earned a gold record.

"Sunshine" was not originally planned for release, but when an engineer accidentally erased the master of a track called "Please Find Me" near the end of sessions for the album, "Sunshine" was used to fill the hole.

The song was released as a single and first gained popularity on Boston radio, then nationwide, hitting #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on January 15, 1972 and earning a gold record. Here's Edwards' take on its success: "It was just at the time of the Vietnam War and Nixon. It was looking bad out there. That song meant a lot to a lot of people during that time--especially me."

In 1980, Juice Newton scored a Top-40 hit, peaking at #35 on the Billboard Country chart with her version of "Sunshine".

Sub (album)

Sub is the debut album by Swiss industrial metal band Apollyon Sun, released in 2000 on Mayan Records.

Work on a full album, Sub began at London's Trident Studios in 1998, with renowned producer Roli Mosimann (Björk, Marilyn Manson, Faith No More). Further recording and mixing sessions took place at Manhattan's EastSide Sound, London's Nomis Studios, and at various studio locations in Switzerland. Sub features prominent final mixes by Mosimann, John Fryer (HIM, Nine Inch Nails), and Apollyon Sun themselves. Sub was released globally through Mayan Records in late summer 2000, after two years of studio work.

"Human III" continues from a song developed by Tom Gabriel Fischer, following on from "Human (Intro)" from Celtic Frost's Morbid Tales and "Human II" from Celtic Frost's Cold Lake. "Messiah (Second Coming)" is a remake of the Hellhammer song Messiah. Hellhammer being one of Tom Gabriel Fischer's former bands. "Reefer Boy" and "Concrete Satan" both appeared on the God Leaves (And Dies) EP, however they have been completely re-recorded for Sub. There are several unreleased songs from these sessions including "Cradle", a re-recorded version of “God Leaves” and two further instrumentals.

FIFA U-17 World Cup

The FIFA U-17 World Cup, founded as the FIFA U-16 World Championship, later changed to the FIFA U-17 World Championship and known by its current name since 2007, is the world championship of association football for male players under the age of 17 organized by Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

The first edition was staged in 1985 in China, and tournaments have been played every two years since then. It began as a competition for players under the age of 16 with the age limit raised to 17 from the 1991 edition onwards. The most recent tournament was hosted by Chile and won by Nigeria, with the next edition being hosted by India in 2017.

Nigeria is the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with five titles and three runners up. Brazil is the second most successful with three titles and two runners up. Ghana and Mexico have won the tournament twice.

A corresponding tournament for female players, the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, began in 2008, with North Korea winning the inaugural tournament.

Sub7

Sub7, or SubSeven or Sub7Server, is a remote administration tool/trojan program (RAT—where the "T" can have a dual meaning in this case). Its name was derived by spelling NetBus backwards ("suBteN") and swapping "ten" with "seven". Sub7 was created by Mobman. Mobman has not maintained or updated the software since 2004, however an author known as Read101 has carried on the Sub7 legacy.

Because its typical use is to allow undetected and unauthorized access, Sub7 is usually described as a trojan horse by security experts. Starting with version 2.1 (1999) it could be controlled via IRC. As one security book phrased it: "This set the stage for all malicious botnets to come." Additionally Sub7 has some features deemed of little use in legitimate remote administration like keystroke logging.

Sub7 worked on the Windows 9x and on the Windows NT family of operating systems, up to and including Windows 8.1.

History

It was originally designed by someone with the handle 'mobman'. No development has occurred in several years until a new version scheduled for release on Feb. 28th, 2010. In October 2009 mobman was alleged to have stated via IRC that due to working and going to college full-time that he will not be able to help with Sub7.
