"Stupid in Love" is a song recorded by Barbadian singer Rihanna for her fourth studio album, Rated R (2009). The song was written by Shaffer Smith, Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen, with production helmed by StarGate. Ne-Yo served as the assistant producer. It was written two days before Rihanna and then boyfriend Chris Brown's altercation on the night of the 2009 Grammy Awards, which occurred on February 8, 2009. The lyrical content, which describes an abusive relationship, led Ne-Yo to describe the song as a "premonition".
"Stupid in Love" is a R&B power ballad. Instrumentation is provided by finger snapping, minor piano keys and piano riffs. The lyrics of the song revolve around a female protagonist who realizes that she needs to escape an abusive and adulterous boyfriend. "Stupid in Love" received a mixed to positive response from music critics. Some critics praised Rihanna's emotional delivery of the song whereas others criticized it as being overly dark. Upon the release of Rated R, the song peaked at number seven on the South Korea Gaon International Chart on December 27, 2009.
"Stupid In Love" (Hangul: 착해 빠졌어) is a song by South Korean singer Sistar's Soyou and rapper Mad Clown. It was released online as a digital single on September 10, 2013 through Starship Entertainment.
On September 6, 2013 it was revealed that Soyou and Mad Clown would release a duet "Stupid In Love" on September 10, to celebrate Mad Clown's signing with, Starship Entertainment subsidiary, Starship-X.
"Stupid In Love“ was released on September 10, together with the teaser for the music video. The full music video was released on October 1, 2013.
"Stupid in Love" is written by Kim Do-hoon and Min Yeon-jae. The song features Mad Clown’s rap skills and Soyou's vocals, the song telling a love story. Mad Clown's raps are reasons why the two should break up and why he believes that this is what she wants and what he thinks will be best for her. This is intertwined with Soyou's vocals asking why he is unable to understand her, and why he misreads her words and actions; that the angry words between them were said not out of a desire to part from him, but out of a desire to be held and loved by him.
Romance is the expressive and pleasurable feeling from an emotional attraction towards another person often associated with sexual attraction. It is eros rather than agape, philia, or storge.
In the context of romantic love relationships, romance usually implies an expression of one's strong romantic love, or one's deep and strong emotional desires to connect with another person intimately or romantically. Historically, the term "romance" originates with the medieval ideal of chivalry as set out in its chivalric romance literature.
Humans have a natural inclination to form bonds with one another through social interactions, be it through verbal communication or nonverbal gestures.
The debate over an exact definition of romantic love may be found in literature as well as in the works of psychologists, philosophers, biochemists and other professionals and specialists. Romantic love is a relative term, but generally accepted as a definition that distinguishes moments and situations within intimate relationships to an individual as contributing to a significant relationship connection.
