Hamilton (2006 film)

Hamilton is a 2006 independent drama film directed by Matthew Porterfield, set and shot in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. The film was screened at several international film festivals, including the Maryland Film Festival. It was released on DVD by The Cinema Guild as part of a two-disc set with Porterfield's second feature, Putty Hill, on November 8, 2011.

The film's plot deals with two accidental parents and how they manage to work their lives around being premature parents.

Hamilton (crater)

Hamilton is a lunar impact crater that is located near the southeastern limb of the Moon. From the Earth this crater is viewed nearly from the edge, limiting the amount of detail that can be observed. It can also become hidden from sight due to libration, or brought into a more favorably viewing position.

This crater is situated almost due east of the lava-flooded crater Oken, near the uneven Mare Australe. To the northeast of Hamilton, along the lunar limb, is the flooded crater Gum. Less than three crater diameters to the south is the flooded walled plain Lyot.

This is a nearly circular crater, although the rim to the north is somewhat straightened. It has a well-formed edge that has not been noticeably degraded through impact erosion. There are terraces along the interior sides, particularly along the western edge (which is hidden from view from the Earth.) The interior floor is deep and uneven, with an impact feature joining the midpoint to the north-northwestern inner wall.

Hamilton GO Centre

Hamilton GO Centre is a GO Transit train and bus station located at Hunter Street East and Hughson Street South in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Unlike other GO Stations, which usually just connect with local public transit buses, the Centre doubles as a regional bus terminal for private intercity coach carriers including Greyhound Canada and Coach Canada.

History

Hamilton GO Centre is the only example of Art Deco railway station architecture in Canada. It opened in 1933 as the head office and the Hamilton station of the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo Railway. Passenger service on the TH&B was discontinued on April 26, 1981, and the TH&B merged into the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1987, leaving the facility completely disused.

In the early 1990s, GO Transit provided service out of two different facilities in Hamilton: trains were routed along the CN Grimsby subdivision to the Hamilton CNR Station 1.6 km to the north, and buses operated out of an older bus station at on the northern edge of Hamilton's Central Business District at John Street North and Rebecca Street. In order to better connect GO Transit service to Hamilton's CBD, improve the interface with the Hamilton Street Railway, and consolidate train and bus services at a single site, renovations were undertaken to convert the TH&B station into the Hamilton GO Centre. The new facility, designed by Garwood-Jones & Hanham Architects, opened on April 30, 1996.

Stronger (Ai song)

"Stronger" (stylized as "STRONGER") is a 2010 song by Japanese R&B singer Ai, featuring fellow R&B singer Miliyah Kato, released on October 27, 2010. The single was her fourth single released in 2010 for her 10th anniversary, and the leading single from her 8th studio album, The Last Ai. The B-side of the single was a collaboration with American rapper Snoop Dogg.

Composition and inspiration

As a part of Ai's 10th anniversary, she had been collaborating with many artists, such as "Fake" featuring Namie Amuro, "Still..." feat. AK-69 and "Wavin' Flag (Coca Cola Celebration Mix) (Sekai ni Hitotsu no Hata)" with K'naan. When the collaboration single offer was presented to Miliyah Kato, who is good friends with Ai, her reaction was "Finally! I feel so honoured. It's like a dream I've been imagining has become real." The song was written by Ai and Kato together, with both deciding such things as the lyrics, music, and which parts to sing.

The song is a contemporary R&B dance pop song. The lyrics are a message song, instructing the listener to survive through "any kind of future," and talks about the limits of a person. In news articles, the song is described as being about "The strength to keep going forward, even when hurt."

Stronger (Mary J. Blige song)

"Stronger" is a song performed by American R&B singer—songwriter Mary J. Blige, with writing from Ester Dean, Dwayne Dalton, Jamal Jones, Chauncey Hollis and Chris Brown, who provides backing vocals. Recorded by Blige, it was featured on the soundtrack for the LeBron James documentary film More Than a Game, and included on the international version of her ninth studio album, Stronger with Each Tear (2010). It was released as the first single from the soundtrack to iTunes and Amazon on August 18, 2009. Additionally it was sent to US radio on September 8, 2009.

Blige performed the song on Good Morning America on September 11, 2009. She also performed it on the Late Show with David Letterman on September 23, 2009.

Background and release

The song deals with issues surrounding people standing by one another through the difficult times. Blige sings "Now we're stronger... stronger... stronger..." referencing that relationships have more strength once they have been tested and people stand by each other. The song was produced by Polow da Don and Hit-Boy especially for the Music Inspired by More Than a Game which is the official soundtrack album to the film More Than a Game. Stronger was confused as the second single from Stronger with Each Tear in August 2009, but this proved false as the song was not included on the U.S. version of Blige's ninth album because her label chose not to include it. However, the single was included on the international version of the album, first released on March 15, 2010.

Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

"Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" is a song by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson and the titular song from her fifth studio album, Stronger (2011). Originally titled as "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)", the song served as the album's second single on January 17, 2012 through RCA Records. Written by Jörgen Elofsson, Ali Tamposi, and David Gamson, with additional writing and production by Greg Kurstin, "Stronger" is an uptempo song which draws from the genres of pop rock, dance-pop and electropop. Its lyrical content mainly explores themes of empowerment and recovery following a heartbreak, with the chorus inspired by a Friedrich Nietzsche quotation: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger."

In the United States, "Stronger" became her third song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three non-consecutive weeks, surpassing "A Moment Like This" (2002) and "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2009) as her longest-running number one single on the chart. It also topped fifteen other Billboard charts, including Adult Pop Songs, Adult Contemporary, Hot Dance Club Songs, and Pop Songs charts, more than any other song Clarkson has ever released.
