Street (Nina Hagen album)

Street is the fifth studio album by German singer Nina Hagen released on July 23, 1991 by Mercury Records. The album is produced by Zeus B. Held with songs written mostly by Hagen. It features songs in both, English and German. Hagen also worked with Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers or with English dance music producer Adamski, with whom she later recorded the song "Get Your Body". After toning down her image with the release of her 1989 album Nina Hagen, she kept on making more downtempo songs, this time, with elements of hip hop. Three singles from the album were released, "In My World", "Berlin" and "Blumen Für Die Damen". Street also contains a cover version of the hit song "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys.

The cover of the album features Hagen wearing three different outfits designed by Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood, with her name written in a Walt Disney-logo-resembling font.

Mirrorwriting

Mirrorwriting is the debut studio album by British singer-songwriter Jamie Woon. It was released in Europe on 18 April 2011 through Polydor Records. The album started to receive hype after Woon ended fourth on BBC's Sound of 2011 poll. It was preceded by the lead single, "Night Air" on 22 October 2010.

Critical reception

Paul Clarke of BBC Music gave the album a positive review by saying: "Things would probably be quite different for Woon had he’d got his act together sooner. In 2007, his fragile cover of an old folk spiritual placed him pretty much alone at the crossroads between rural blues and urban electronica, a 20-something Robert Johnson from London who’d sold his soul to dubstep instead of the Devil. Today, though, he shares this space with The xx and James Blake; and overshadowed by The xx’s Mercury Prize victory and Blake’s own debut album of earlier in 2011, Woon’s music could now be in danger of sounding wearily familiar rather than darkly mysterious".

Eighth Street (IRT Sixth Avenue Line)

Eighth Street was a station on the demolished IRT Sixth Avenue Line. It had two tracks and two side platforms. It was served by trains from the IRT Sixth Avenue Line. It closed on December 4, 1938. The next southbound stop was Bleecker Street. The next northbound stop was 14th Street.

Jungle (2000 film)

Jungle is a 2000 Indian thriller film produced and directed by Ram Gopal Varma starring Sunil Shetty, Fardeen Khan and Urmila Matondkar. The ensemble cast film has received positive reviews upon release and was declared a Hit. The film won the Bollywood Movie Award for Best Direction.

Plot

Anu Malhotra and Siddharth Mishra (Sidhu) are in love with each other and would like to get married. Anu is ready to inform her parents about her future life-partner, but everything is put on hold, as the family decides to go out on a group safari-like expedition. Siddharth decides to go incognito also. The group gets to view wildlife from fairly close distances. Tragedy strikes when the group (except Sidhu) is kidnapped by the Bandit Durga Narayan Choudhary and his gang. The bandits commit atrocities on the kidnapped people and finally behead one of the women in order to terrorize the government and extract ransom as well as release of one of their men who is in police custody. Once their demands are met, the bandits release remaining hostages, except Anu, whom the chief Durga Narayan Choudhary has started liking. This is unacceptable by his girlfriend Bali, the only female bandit of the gang. When Sidhu not find Anu among the released hostages, he sends the illegal arms supplier Dorai to request Durga Narayan Choudhary for Anu's release. He secretly follows Dorai and finally reaches Anu. In the ensuing commotion, he is able to run away with her, with the bandits in their pursuit. They keep searching their way out of the dense forest. Meanwhile the goons started to reduce in numbers as they get shot one by one during repeated police encounters. Finally, Durga is the only one left. Still mad about Anu, he searches for her. He is about to take Anu away once more but is intercepted by Commander Shivraj, whom he eventually murders, but finally Sidhu kills Durga and re-unites with Anu and the movie ends on a happy note.

The First Generation Sets

Pokémon Demo Game Plastic Pack

The Pokémon Demo Game pack was the earliest Pokémon card pack to be produced in the English Pokémon TCG. This card pack was printed and distributed in December 1998 to select retailers and at Magic: The Gathering (MTG) trading card shows as a limited production run. This Pokémon pack consists of 24 Base Set shadowless cards and an instruction manual. The remaining Pokémon Demo Game packs were given to guests and vendors at the annual E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) event which was held from May 13–15 in 1999. This Pokémon Demo Game pack is considered the "Holy Grail" within the Pokémon trading card game because it was the very first introduction of the Pokémon trading cards within the United States. This Pokémon pack is limited in quantity and predates all other Pokémon Set cards including the 1st edition Base Set cards making these packs extremely rare and valuable. It is estimated that between 100-200 of these Pokémon Demo Game packs remain unopened. The first ever Demo Game pack to be issued a PSA certification number was Demo Game pack #24287143 making it the default earliest known package of English Pokémon cards to remain sealed in existence.

Jungle (band)

Jungle are an English modern soul musical collective based in London.

Background

Jungle was founded by Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson. The pair had been friends since they were nine years old, where they lived next door to each other in Shepherds Bush, London. They both attended Latymer Upper School, and played together within a number of different groups, one of which, Born Blonde, saw some success. They went on to form Jungle at the beginning of 2013, choosing to put an aesthetic emphasis on the music’s surrounding artwork and videos, and not on the pairs' own identity, (McFarland and Lloyd-Watson came to be known as J and T). Throughout the following year Jungle developed its nature as a collective by working with different artists across diverse disciplines. To perform the music live, Jungle expanded to a seven-piece band, fronted by J and T. The pair wished to challenge themselves, resisting the temptation to simply re-produce their music from their laptops, and instead translated their songs into a full and organic live experience. J and T have explained that Jungle stemmed from a desire for ‘honesty… true connection and friendship. Diablo (series)

Diablo is an action role-playing hack and slash dungeon crawler video game series developed by Blizzard Entertainment. As of May 30, 2012, the series has sold over 24.8 million copies worldwide. The series is made up of three core games: Diablo, Diablo II, and Diablo III. All three games are action role-playing and hack and slash games. Expansion games include the third-party published Diablo: Hellfire, which follows the first game, Lord of Destruction, published by Blizzard and released after the second game, and the recently released Reaper of Souls, which follows the third game. Additional content is provided through story elements explored in other media forms.

The series is set in the fantasy world of Sanctuary. The three games in the series take place in similar geographic areas, with several common areas including the town of Tristram and the region around Mount Arreat. Additional setting is provided by the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, two separate realms with ties to Sanctuary. The series focuses on the battle between the humans living on Sanctuary and the Prime Evils, demons who are led by Diablo, the series' chief antagonist. The humans are occasionally aided by angels, notably the archangel of justice, Tyrael. The characters in the world of Sanctuary are primarily humans, angels, and various classes of demons and monsters.
