List of Steven Universe episodes

Steven Universe is an American animated television series created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network. The series revolves around the eponymous Steven Universe (voiced by Zach Callison), who helps protect his town of Beach City alongside the Crystal Gems—Garnet (voiced by Estelle), Amethyst (voiced by Michaela Dietz), and Pearl (voiced by Deedee Magno). The series was renewed in July 2015 for a third season.

As of January 8, 2016, 78 episodes of Steven Universe have aired. At first, new episodes were broadcast once a week, but since 2015, the series is for the most part aired in blocks of five new episodes in the course of a week (marketed as "Stevenbombs"), followed by hiatuses of several weeks or months.

Fictional universe

A fictional universe is a self-consistent fictional setting with events, and often elements, that differ from the real world. It may also be called an imagined, constructed or fictional realm (or world). Fictional universes may appear in novels, comics, films, television shows, video games and other creative works.

A fictional universe can be almost indistinguishable from the real world, except for the presence of the invented characters and events that characterize a work of fiction; at the other extreme it can bear little or no resemblance to reality, with invented fundamental principles of space and time.

The subject is most commonly addressed in reference to fictional universes that differ markedly from reality, such as those that introduce entire fictional cities, countries, or even planets, or those that contradict commonly known facts about the world and its history, or those that feature fantasy or science fiction concepts such as magic or faster than light travel—and especially those in which the deliberate development of the setting is a substantial focus of the work.

Electric Image Animation System

The Electric Image Animation System (EIAS) is a 3D computer graphics package published by EIAS3D. It currently runs on the OS X and Windows platforms.

History

Electric Image, Inc. was initially a visual effects production company. They developed their own in-house 3D animation and rendering package for the Macintosh beginning in the late 1980s, calling it ElectricImage Animation System. (To avoid confusion with the current product with its similar name, we will refer to this initial incarnation of the product simply as ElectricImage.)

When the company later decided to offer their software for sale to others, it quickly gained a customer base that lauded the developers for the software's exceptionally fast rendering engine and high image quality. Because it was capable of film-quality output on commodity hardware, ElectricImage was popular in the movie and television industries throughout the decade. It was used by the "Rebel Unit" at Industrial Light and Magic quite extensively and was in use by a variety of game companies.Bad Mojo, Bad Day on the Midway However, only these high end effects companies could afford it: Electric Image initially sold for US $7500.
