Steve Watson

Steven Craig "Steve" Watson (born 1 April 1974 in North Shields, England) is a former English footballer, who retired after being released by Sheffield Wednesday on 15 May 2009.

Playing career

Watson began his career with Newcastle United, playing on a regular basis. At the time of his debut, as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Wolves on 10 November 1990, he was the youngest person ever to play for Newcastle, a record he holds to this day. Watson appeared 24 times that season, firstly under Jim Smith and then under Ossie Ardiles as Newcastle struggled in the old Second Division.

Watson featured prominently during the 1991-92 season as Kevin Keegan returned to Newcastle and relegation to the old Third Division was famously avoided. During his seven years at the club, he wore a jersey with every shirt number 2–11 at least once, earning a reputation as a key all round capable footballer integral to The Entertainers style of play

Watson remained in the Newcastle first team picture under Kevin Keegan and his successor Kenny Dalglish, but was sold by Ruud Gullit, to the surprise of Newcastle fans, in a desperate attempt to make funds available. Steve was hugely popular with the Newcastle faithful and years later the feeling amongst the Toon Army is that Watson should never have left. Whilst at Newcastle, he played in the 1998 FA Cup Final.

Steve Watson (wide receiver)

Steve Ross Watson (born May 28, 1957) is a former American football wide receiver and current wide receivers coach.

After high school at St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, Delaware, Watson attended Temple University and entered the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 1979. A wide receiver for the Denver Broncos, Watson played his NFL entire career in Denver. Watson was in the NFL for nine years and played in 125 games. During his career he caught 353 passes for 6,112 yards and 36 touchdowns. Watson was voted in as a player in the 1981 Pro Bowl. He retired after the 1987 season.

In 1993, Watson was inducted into the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame. In 2000 he rejoined the Broncos as a defensive assistant. Since 2003 he has been a wide receivers coach. In 2010, he was hired by the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team to be their wide receivers coach.

Steve Watson (linebacker)

Steve Watson (born May 10, 1985) is a former American football linebacker who last played for the Dallas Vigilantes of the Arena Football League. Prior to this, he played for the Tulsa Talons (one year) and the San Jose SaberCats (two years). He won an ArenaBowl with the SaberCats in 2007.

Watson played football at Missouri State University (then called Southwest Missouri State University) from 2001 to 2004. He was a starter during his final two years at the school; at the end of his collegiate career, he had tallied some 238 tackles and 11 sacks. Following the NFL Draft, in which he was not selected, Watson opted to join the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League. Waston proved an instant success with the SaberCats; as a rookie he tallied 64 tackles (46 solo) as the SaberCats cruised to ArenaBowl XXI (where they defeated the Columbus Destroyers for their third AFL championship). Watson emerged as one of the league's best linebackers in his second season with the team; he was a First Team All-Arena selection at the end of the season.

Steve Watson (born June 11, 1972) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the host of Discovery Channel's reality program Monster House (2003–2006). He appeared on Ice Road Truckers during the "after" special and currently serves as host of HGTV's Don't Sweat It (2006–present).
