William "Will" Mellor (born 3 April 1976, Bredbury, Stockport, Greater Manchester) is an English actor. He is known for his roles as Jambo Bolton in Hollyoaks, Gaz Wilkinson in comedy, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Mellor was starring in the BBC Three show White Van Man playing Ollie.[1]

Mellor grew up in the Bredbury area of Stockport and attended Bredbury Green Primary School and later Werneth School, Greater Manchester. Mellor first came to the public's attention in 1990, when he played Ben Rowlingson in the children's programme Children's Ward.
In 1995, Mellor joined the cast of the soap opera Hollyoaks, in which he played the role of James 'Jambo' Bolton until 1998. He then released a cover version of Leo Sayer's "When I Need You" as a single, which reached number 5 in the UK Singles Chart, as well as a follow-up single called "No Matter What I Do", which reached number 23.[2]
He also made an appearance in the music video for Boyzone's Comic Relief single "When The Going Gets Tough".
Shortly after, he returned to acting, playing Greg in Is Harry on the Boat?. He played Jack Vincent in Casualty between 2001 and 2003 and has starred as Gaz Wilkinson in the comedy Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps since 2001. He also made a brief cameo reappearance in a Christmas edition of Hollyoaks, in which he played the ghost of Jambo (although the character is not dead). Mellor also stars as "Barmpot" in the postal worker drama Sorted and has played DC Jed Griffiths in the second series of Murder Investigation Team. In 2004 he provided the voice-over for Georgie (the dog) in the CITV series Barking!. He also briefly starred as a gay character Tom, in the second series of The Street.
Mellor won the first series of the BBC singing contest Comic Relief does Fame Academy in 2003.[3] He made his EastEnders debut on 20 May 2007, playing womanising salesman Warren Stamp.
He was a guest star in the BBC fantasy drama Merlin. In October 2008, he starred in The Prisoner, a documentary about prison life. Mellor portrayed Chris in the British horror thriller film The Reeds under the direction of Nick Cohen;[4] the movie is part of the After Dark Horrorfest 2010.[5]
He did a brief spell on children's television channel Cbeebies, in which he read books aloud for the audience.
In 2011 Mellor also starred in the BBC Three comedy White Van Man,[6] as well as the BBC One drama Waterloo Road[7] and the BBC One comedy In with the Flynns.
On 3 September 2011 he appeared on ITV's All Star Family Fortunes as a contestant along with his family - they competed against 95.8 Capital FM radio DJ and former model Lisa Snowdon.
Later in 2011, Will had a short guest starring role on the BBC Three comedy, Mongrels, in the final episode.
He has also pursued a sideline in modelling, notably for Topman.

Mellor had a "high profile" relationship with Coronation Street actress Angela Griffin.[9] He met his wife, dancer Michelle McSween, when the pair starred in the stage musical Oh, What a Night in 1999. The couple married in 2007[10] and have two children: Jayden Will, born in 2004[11] and Renee, born in June 2008. He supports Manchester United.[12]
