Missouri Route 110

Route 110 is a short highway in Jefferson County. Its eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 67 about six miles (10 km) east of De Soto; its western terminus is at Route 21 a few miles north of De Soto. De Soto and Olympian Village are the only cities on the route.

Route description

Route 110 begins at an intersection with Route 21 north of De Soto, heading southeast on a two-lane undivided road. The route passes through wooded areas with some fields and homes, crossing over Union Pacific's De Soto Subdivision and coming to an intersection with Route P. The road leaves the De Soto area and heads east through more rural areas with some development. Farther east, Route 110 comes to its eastern terminus at an interchange with US 67 in Olympian Village, where Route CC heads to the north.

History

In January 2012, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission approved the use of Missouri Route 110 to include all of Missouri's part of the Chicago-Kansas City expressway and to correspond to Illinois 110 from Hannibal, MO to Chicago. The CKC Missouri 110 follows Interstate 35 from the Kansas State Line in Kansas City to US 36 in Cameron, then follows US 36 (and the short part of Interstate 72) to Hannibal. At present, there is no word on any change in the designation of the Jefferson County Route 110.

Rhode Island Route 110

Route 110 is a numbered State Highway running 6.1 miles (9.8 km) wholly within the town of South Kingstown in Rhode Island. It serves to connect the University of Rhode Island to points south via U.S. 1.

Route description

Route 110 begins at U.S. Route 1 near the village of Perryville in the town of South Kingstown. The route heads north for 7 miles (11 km) following Ministerial Road through the wetlands of the Great Swamp. Soon after crossing some railroad tracks, Route 110 ends at an intersection with Route 138 in the village of West Kingston.

Route 110 was assigned to Ministerial Road by 1969.

Virginia State Route 75

State Route 75 (SR 75) is a primary state highway in the southwest part of the U.S. state of Virginia, running southwest from U.S. Route 11 and U.S. Route 58 Alternate in Abingdon to Tennessee's State Route 44.

Route description

SR 75 crosses the Tennessee state line from State Route 44 in the Holston Valley, formed by the South Fork Holston River. It crosses the low McConnell Ridge at Green Spring into the Watauga Valley, and after running through that valley for a while it turns north to cross the Great Knobs, mostly along a small creek. SR 75 enters the town of Abingdon and crosses Interstate 81/U.S. Route 58, at which point U.S. Route 58 Alternate begins along SR 75, and then ends at the intersection with U.S. Route 11 downtown.

History

The road from Abingdon northwest to Dickensonville (now part of U.S. Route 58 Alternate) was part of the original state highway system designated in 1918, as a spur of State Route 10 (now U.S. Route 11). It was assigned the number State Route 106 in the 1923 renumbering, and it was extended south and southwest five miles (8 km) towards the Tennessee state line in 1925. In the 1928 renumbering, the whole of SR 106 became State Route 110, and extensions added 3.12 miles (5.02 km) in 1929 and another 3.24 miles (5.21 km) in 1931.

Interstate 110 and State Route 110 (California)

Route 110, consisting of State Route 110 (SR 110) and Interstate 110 (I-110), locally referred to as the one ten, is a state highway in the Los Angeles area of the U.S. state of California, built to freeway standards. The entire length of I-110 (which ends at I-10), as well as SR 110 south of the Four Level Interchange with US 101, is the Harbor Freeway, and SR 110 north from US 101 to Pasadena is the historic Arroyo Seco Parkway, the first freeway in the western United States. The entire Route 110 connects San Pedro and the Port of Los Angeles with Downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena. I-110 is one of two 3-digit interstate designations to appear on opposite coasts, with I-280 in California and New Jersey being the other.

Route description

This route is part of the California Freeway and Expressway System.

The Harbor Freeway, signed as Interstate 110, begins at Gaffey Street in San Pedro, where it then travels mostly due north to the Santa Monica Freeway (Interstate 10) at a point south of downtown Los Angeles, where it becomes signed as State Route 110. I-110 is primarily within the city limits of Los Angeles, running right through South Central Los Angeles and the Harbor Gateway, a two-mile (3 km) wide north–south corridor that was annexed by the city of Los Angeles specifically to connect San Pedro, Wilmington and the Port of Los Angeles with the rest the city.

Massachusetts Route 110

Route 110, is a southwest–northeast state highway in Massachusetts. The route travels from West Boylston in Central Massachusetts to Salisbury near the coast. Route 110 is paralleled by Interstate 495 for most of its length, and interchanges with the freeway several times along its journey.

Route description

Route 110 begins at Route 12 in West Boylston, just north of the Wachusett Reservoir and the border with Worcester. The route follows north of the reservoir, passing through Sterling before entering Clinton. In Clinton, Route 110 shares a quarter-mile concurrency with Route 62 and Route 70 before heading northward, crossing the Nashua River and passing through Lancaster.

The route continues into Bolton, crossing Route 117 and passing the Bolton Flats before entering the town of Harvard. Route 110 continues through the village of Still River, wrapping around Bare Hill Pond before joining Route 111, starting a 3.7-mile long concurrency which crosses Route 2 at Exit 38, just east of Fort Devens. The concurrency with Route 111 ends in Ayer in Middlesex County at a rotary junction with Route 2A, where Route 110 begins a concurrency with Route 2A eastward into Littleton.
