Route description

Route 73 begins at U.S. Route 65 in the northern tip of the town of Buffalo in Dallas County. It runs east for a short time before turning to the northeast and intersecting Route DD. The highway heads farther northeast and meets Route 64 in Pumpkin Center. North of the Route 64 intersection, the highway runs through Tunas. In Tunas, Route 73 intersects Routes D and E. Farther northeast, the route meets Route PP before crossing into Camden County.

In Camden County, Route 73 heads through the Branch Towersite and the town of Branch. It then ends at U.S. Route 54 southwest of Macks Creek.

No portion of Route 73 is a part of the National Highway System, a system of highways important to the nation's defense, economy, and mobility.

Oklahoma State Highway 73

State Highway 73 (abbreviated SH-73 or OK-73) is a 24½ mi (39.4 km) state highway mostly in Custer Co., Oklahoma, although a stretch of about four-fifths of a mile (1.3 km) of its eastbound lane lies in Roger Mills Co. SH-73 has no lettered spur routes.

Route description

State Highway 73 begins at State Highway 34 south of Hammon. The western terminus of the highway occurs at a jog in the Roger Mills–Custer county line; north of the intersection, SH-34 runs along the north–south boundary, and at the intersection, the boundary makes a ninety-degree turn to head east–west. The first 0.8 miles (1.3 km) of SH-73 straddles the county line. The county line makes another turn after this to return to a north–south orientation, and SH-73 fully enters Custer County.

In Custer County, SH-73 travels through hilly terrain and crosses both Panther Creek and Little Panther Creek, tributaries of Foss Lake. SH-73 serves the southwestern portion of the lake, and runs along the edges of Foss State Park. The highway provides connections to four campgrounds along the lakeshore. Near the southeast corner of the lake, the route intersects SH-44.

Wisconsin Highway 73

State Trunk Highway 73 (often called Highway 73, STH 73 or WIS 73) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It runs northsouth across central Wisconsin from Ingram to near Edgerton, with the exception of Wood and Adams counties, where this route runs eastwest. It is one of the longer Wisconsin state highways at 265.8 miles.

Routing

WIS 73 starts in Dane County at an interchange with Interstate 39, Interstate 90 (Exit 160), US 51 north of the city of Edgerton. US 51 South goes into Edgerton. Also near this junction, WIS 106 meets WIS 73 east of Albion. 73 heads north 9 miles to US 12 and US 18. After a brief cosigning heading west, 73 splits north and heads 1 mile to Deerfield. About 4 miles north of Deerfield, it meets Interstate 94 at Exit 250, and continues north another 4 miles to Marshall where it has a brief cosigning with WIS 19.

It continues north about 10 miles to the city of Columbus. Just before it goes under an overpass of US 151, it crosses into Columbia County. 73 crosses US 151, WIS 89, WIS 16 & WIS 60 and US 151 again, in that order, as it travels northeast through Columbus on Park Avenue and Ludington Street. It also crosses into Dodge County just after WIS 16 & 60.

    Down on the Corner

    by: Studio 99

Early in the evenin just about supper time,
Over by the courthouse theyre starting to unwind.
Four kids on the corner trying to bring you up.
Willy picks a tune out and he blows it on the harp.
    Chorus:
Down on the corner, out in the street,
    Willy and the poorboys are playin;
Bring a nickel; tap your feet.
Rooster hits the washboard and people just got to smile,
Blinky, thumps the gut bass and solos for a while.
Poorboy twangs the rhythm out on his kalamazoo.
Willy goes into a dance and doubles on kazoo.
    Chorus
    Chorus
You dont need a penny just to hang around,
But if youve got a nickel, wont you lay your money down?
Over on the corner theres a happy noise.
People come from all around to watch the magic boy.
    Chorus
