Stan Anderson

Stanley "Stan" Anderson (born 27 February 1933) is a former English football player and manager.

Playing career

He was an England schoolboy international before joining his local club Sunderland. He was 19 when he made his first team debut in a 1-1 draw at home to Portsmouth on 4 October 1952 and for the next eleven years he was a regular in the Sunderland side. In 1955 and 1956 Sunderland twice made it through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, but lost both games and in 1958 the club were relegated for the first time ever. Anderson was captain of a young side in the Second Division.

The strong-tackling wing-half appeared in his first England under-23 side in September 1955, but although he was to secure more under-23 honours and make an England 'B' appearance he did not win his first full cap until the 1961-62 season. After debuting against Austria he played in a 2-0 defeat away to Scotland before being selected as a squad member for the 1962 FIFA World Cup in Chile, where he was unused throughout the tournament.

Stan Anderson (22 June 1939 – 3 December 1997) was a Scottish football player and manager.

Anderson was born in Craigneuk, Scotland. He started his career in 1957 at Hamilton Academical. He moved to Rangers two years later but was unable to break into the senior team, making only one appearance for the club during a 4-1 win over Clyde on 27 April 1960. A return to Accies followed in 1961 then a season with Queen of the South before a final spell with Hamilton. In 1966 Anderson moved to Clyde and went on to make over one hundred appearances for the team.

After retiring in 1970, Anderson joined the Dumbarton coaching staff. He returned to Rangers as reserve-team coach under William Waddell and later Jock Wallace. In 1973 he was appointed manager of Clyde, spending three seasons in charge.

Stan! (born Steven Brown on 16 October 1964 in Brooklyn, New York City, United States) is an American author, cartoonist, and game designer. He is sometimes credited as Stan Brown.

Biography

Brown was born and grew up on Long Island and attended Binghamton University. Brown began publishing fiction, cartoons, and games professionally in 1982, usually under the pen name "Stan!." He is the author of numerous short stories, novels, roleplaying products, comics and cartoons. He has served as a graphic designer and line editor for West End Games; an editor and game designer for TSR, Inc.; and an author, senior game designer, and creative director for Wizards of the Coast, Inc. He has also been the creative content manager at Upper Deck Entertainment.

In 2007, R. Hyrum Savage formed a subsidiary of his OtherWorld Creations with Brown called Super Genius Games. He has also worked as the creative content manager for Upper Deck Entertainment, and the creative vice president for The Game Mechanics, Inc. Brown is the Creative Director for Super Genius Games. He co-founded The Game Mechanics with JD Wiker, Marc Schmalz, and Rich Redman.
