St. Paul's Bay

Saint Paul's Bay (Maltese: San Pawl il-Baħar, Italian: Baia di San Paolo) is a town in the Northern Region of Malta. It is situated sixteen kilometres (9.9 miles) northwest of the capital city Valletta. Saint Paul's Bay is largest town in the Northern Region and the seat of the Northern Regional Committee.

Its name refers to the shipwreck of Saint Paul, as documented in the Acts of the Apostles, due to the tradition that Saint Paul was shipwrecked on the isles, named St. Paul's Islands, which are situated near St Paul's Bay. According to the Bible, St. Paul was shipwrecked on an island which many scholars have identified as Malta on his voyage from Caesarea to Rome. The Maltese people believe that it was St. Paul who laid the foundations of Christianity on the island.

The localities of Burmarrad, Qawra, Buġibba, Xemxija, Mselliet, and San Martin as well as part of Bidnija and Mistra, form part of St. Paul's Bay Local Council. The area of the locality is 14.47 km² (6 sq mi).

St. Paul's, Bloor Street

St. Paul's Bloor Street, is a large church of the Anglican Church of Canada in the Diocese of Toronto.

Located in downtown Toronto near the denomination's national headquarters, the parish, along with Little Trinity Anglican Church, is one of historical flagship low church parishes of the diocese, and is one of the few remaining Anglican churches in Toronto where Morning Prayer is the principal service twice a month (three times in months with five Sundays), rather than the more typical weekly Parish Communion. The first St. Paul's church opened on June 12, 1842. The second St Paul's church was constructed in 1860; the current main church in 1913. The two buildings, as well as the parish hall (Cody Hall) are now joined together by an Atrium after the Nehemiah Project renovation and building project.

The vision of St. Paul's Bloor Street is: "By the power and grace of Jesus Christ, we seek to be a transformative community for the city." St. Paul's has extensive outreach, youth, children's and adult programming, and offers Christianity 101 courses for those exploring Christianity. Worship services include a quiet communion service at 8:15 AM, an informal service named "The Bridge" at 9:30 AM and an 11:00 AM traditional service.

Toronto—St. Paul's is a federal electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1935. Its current MP is Carolyn Bennett. Prior to the 2015 election, the riding was known as St. Paul's.

The small but densely populated riding covers the area to the north of Downtown Toronto. In the past, it had been considered a bellwether riding, having been represented by only three opposition MPs. However, like most Toronto-based ridings, the Liberals have dominated recent elections. Since the Liberals won all but one seat in Ontario in their 1993 landslide, they have won St. Paul's by 15,000 votes or more.
