Spy (Carly Simon album)

Spy is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's ninth album, and eighth studio album, released in 1979. It is also her last album for Elektra Records. The title of the album is a tribute to Anaïs Nin, whose quote “I am an international spy in the house of love”, is written across the top on the inside jacket. Simon dedicated the album to producer Arif Mardin, in which she wrote in the liner notes, "Dedicated to Arif who is himself fantastic."

Although Spy did not yield any major hit singles, "Vengeance" earned Simon a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Female in early 1980, the first year to feature this new category. It peaked at #48 on the Billboard Pop singles chart. Simon made a music video for the song, and MTV later used a clip from it in a commercial that tried to entice viewers to get stereo sound on their TV sets. The promotional clip was also chosen by Pioneer Electronics to be part of their first demo disc for its then-new Laserdisc player.

The album also features a track entitled "Never Been Gone", which has gone on to become a fan favorite, as well as one of Simon's personal favorites. In 2009, she would release an album entitled after the track.

Spy (Super Junior song)

"Spy" is a digital single by South Korean boy band Super Junior. It is the second promotional single for the group's sixth studio album Sexy, Free & Single and title track of the repackaged edition, titled Spy. It was digitally released on August 5, 2012, along with three other new tracks in the repackaged album, which was released offline on August 6.

Background

"Spy" is a fast urban dance song that is reminiscent of a spy film. It samples a selection from the 1995 TV series "Get Smart". On 3 August, the teaser for the "Spy" music video was released on their official YouTube channel,and the music video was released on August 12. The group made their "Spy" stage debut on 9 August on Mnet's M! Countdown.

Spy is a 2015 American action spy comedy film written and directed by Paul Feig. Starring Melissa McCarthy, Jason Statham, Rose Byrne, Miranda Hart, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney, and Jude Law, the film follows the transformation of desk-bound CIA analyst Susan Cooper (McCarthy) into a field agent who attempts to foil the black market sale of a suitcase nuke.

Produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Feig and Jessie Henderson, the film was theatrically released on June 5, 2015. It received positive reviews from critics and was a box office success, grossing over $235 million worldwide against a $65 million budget. It was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards: Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for McCarthy.

Plot

Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) is a desk-bound CIA employee, remotely guiding her partner Agent Bradley Fine (Jude Law) on a mission to Varna from a CIA office. Unbeknownst to Bradley, Susan secretly has a crush on him. During his mission, Fine accidentally kills Tihomir Boyanov without first finding a suitcase nuke whose location is known only to Boyanov.

Haze

Haze is traditionally an atmospheric phenomenon where dust, smoke and other dry particles obscure the clarity of the sky. The World Meteorological Organization manual of codes includes a classification of horizontal obscuration into categories of fog, ice fog, steam fog, mist, haze, smoke, volcanic ash, dust, sand and snow. Sources for haze particles include farming (ploughing in dry weather), traffic, industry, and wildfires.

Seen from afar (e.g. approaching airplane) and depending upon the direction of view with respect to the sun, haze may appear brownish or bluish, while mist tends to be bluish-grey. Whereas haze often is thought of as a phenomenon of dry air, mist formation is a phenomenon of humid air. However, haze particles may act as condensation nuclei for the subsequent formation of mist droplets; such forms of haze are known as "wet haze."

The term "haze", in meteorological literature, generally is used to denote visibility-reducing aerosols of the wet type. Such aerosols commonly arise from complex chemical reactions that occur as sulfur dioxide gases emitted during combustion are converted into small droplets of sulphuric acid. The reactions are enhanced in the presence of sunlight, high relative humidity, and stagnant air flow. A small component of wet haze aerosols appear to be derived from compounds released by trees, such as terpenes. For all these reasons, wet haze tends to be primarily a warm-season phenomenon. Large areas of haze covering many thousands of kilometers may be produced under favorable conditions each summer.

Singer/songwriter HAZE (b. Harikrish Menon Ramachandran 2 June 1973, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is known for his work in the dance music genre, with hit singles such as Changes and Freak.

Career

He began his professional career at R.A.P. (Roslan Aziz Production) a Malaysian record label owned by acclaimed music producer Roslan Aziz. He has since worked with many of Malaysia's top performing artist such as Sheila Majid, Ning Baizura, Amir Yusoff, Zainal Abidin, Sarifah Aini and Malaysian rap sensation Too Phat just to name a few. Besides producing for local Malaysian performing artist, he has also produced albums for many performing artist around the region. Artist such as Kris Dayanti of Indonesia and Singaporean rap sensation Haikel. Which has allowed him to develop a musical scope that covers across almost all genres. In the Mid 1990's he also performed with the band Asia Beat.

He was the first Malaysian to appear on the BBC UK Dance Singles Charts, for Changes. His single Freak made the Top 10 of the National Top 100 Singles chart in the Netherlands.
